Hi, So sorry to hear that! What part of the country do u live? It seems

loaded!! Almost as if you go outside and " bingo " you are hit with ticks. I

would be so cautious and nervous after so many family members getting bit and

re-bitten. Hope your family take's care and can stay away from them. Jodie L.

posted earlier, that the Dr concluded he was not because of his high CD57

results. However, the Dr changed his decision when he examined him. His symptoms

are so obvious that it is a reinfection and not just a flare or a pre-existing

co-infection. He has now been on Doxy for 5 weeks. Also added Ceftin two weeks

ago. In four weeks he will get some nutritional IVs.....vitamin C, B vitamins,

glutathione and I forget what else. I thought the treatment sounded pretty good.

We'll see what happens next.

Kyolic odorless garlic for tick prevention. We have had lots of tick bites in

our family, but no one that has been bit while taking the garlic. We have

noticed this over the last 10 years. Anyone else, tried this? It really is quite

an inexpensive, easy way to avoid bites, and I am really trying to get my whole

family to take it over the summer months.

Hi Malinda,This must be so scary and frustrating for you! It sure changes our relationship with the 'great' outdoors. It's so hard to protect the little ones and so much at stake.I recently got some permethrin which, mixed with water and sprayed on shoes and clothes, is a terrific arachnid repellent, and thus, more effective against ticks than deet and other things like pyrethrin. I got it at a local Feed 'n' Seed. (They use it on horses, apparently.) It's the same stuff in the commercial 'Buzz Off' clothing line. NOT for skin, just clothing, but it's one more protection. You might want to google it.Be well,Léna Hi, So sorry to hear that! What part of the country do u live? It seems loaded!! Almost as if you go outside and "bingo" you are hit with ticks. Jodie,

I live in PA, Berks Co. Never researched it, but I have heard it is close to the

highest concentration of ticks. =( It's not hard to believe. I know many people

that have had bites this year and many people I know locally that have Lyme,

including my LLMD.

God bless,

Malinda

Thanks, Lena. I will have to research that. I mixed up the essential oil tick

repellent recipe. It is just so hard to remember or take the time every single

time you go outside to spray it on. =/

Hi malinda,

We are almost neighbors....I live in N.H. so I can understand the concentration

of ticks. My uncle got the bullseye about a month ago....so yes I understand,

but it's still not a great thing. I have always lived in the country. Its

great that you have someone knowledgeable working with you. Jodie

HI, I would love to know what the essential oil....tick repellent is. Also can

it be used on dogs too....I would think yes but want to make sure. I will use

it on my son and myself when outside here....full of bugs, long grass etc.

Thanks, Jodie L.

I think it's astragalus, that if you take it everyday, will help a lot for a natural tic repellent.Everyday is easier to remember than, once in a while. I think if I lived in your area, I'd do both: internals and externals.

So sorry to hear about your granddaughter.Best,

Sure, I would love to pass it on. It is Lady Barbara's recipe. She shares the

recipe and also sells it on her website: http://www.ladybarbara.net/ (a

wonderful lady and interesting website)

Tick repellent recipe:

1tsp Rose Geranium essential oil (usually just labeled `geranium')

(source: Mountain Rose Herbs ) note: 1 oz oil makes SIX bottles of spray

mixed with 1tsp vodka or rubbing alcohol

add 8oz filtered water in a spray bottle.

God bless, Malinda
