Guest guest
My understanding is that the flashlight test, temp graph and the BP test is for adrenal dysfunction generally, not a test for high or low cortisol specifically. Guest guest
I haven't tried Melatonin because of the thyroid issue----is that a realistic concern? Also, I am at a crying stage. Is crying alot a sign of high or low cortisol? Ives wrote: I haven't had REM sleep for years either, and I have low cortisol. Guest guest
Well, I think so long as you take it at night, and not block your thyroid, you will be fine. Melantonin is another natural hormone that gets out of balance when the rest of our hormones are out of balance. As far as crying, I wouldn't doubt it. When I'm having an adrenal crisis (i.e., under an extreme amount of stress), I feel like I want to cry, usually for no reason, just want to cry. And I do tend to get more emotional about things, almost pms-like. Guest guest
Thanks MIchelle, for the melatonin counsel. I also may have overdone the excercise and sauna. I slept like a baby and just wanted to keep on sleeping. I remembered a dream, which is very unusual and don't feel like taking many brain supplements today. I am chelating....I wonder if the movement sped things up---lots of Hg coming out of the brain. I am glad to hear that others are beginning to dream again also! Guest guest
Melatonin has about a 1 hour half life. I used it before any HRT (including thyroid and adrenal) and it was a life saver. I recommend trying it. Chris > I haven't had REM sleep for years either, and I have low cortisol. Guest guest
Hi , I get puffy eyes sometimes. I thought it was water retention. I have started taking iodine which has been reported to help with built up mercury. What are the other signs of hg dumping? Guest guest
Ugh, , can you elaborate on this. I have been really weepy lately. Have been at 4 grains for 2 weeks.. Was at 4 1/4 in the middle of April, added 5mg of HC (total of 25 mg) and wen hyper. Have raised every 10 days since dropping the thyroid to 3 1/2 grains. Adrenals are nice and stable according to the temps, so I don't think that is a problem anymore. And I have had NO problems with raising back up every 10 days. I had thought to hold these 4 grains for a bit longer as that is where I started having some problems before..I had been at 4 grains about 4 weeks before raising to 4 1/4 in April..that lasted a couple weeks. So with all the above in mind, do you think it is low thyroid making me weepy, or all the stress of my daughter's graduation last weekend? Or the stress of opening a new retail store..having a son with a broken leg.. or... Guest guest
Apparently we don't always leg go of the same amounts all the time and I did some vigorous exercise and sauna yesterday during chelation. It felt goodd at the time and today I am better or other levels. Other signs of dumping may be increased load on thyroid and adrenals, headache,---all the neurological stuff, or most things that people bring up on this list!!
