Guest guest
Exaggerating just a tad now,are we, Lou?so far I've had a really hard time to teach it " hmmm " , but other than that it is going remarkably well.I have had this new Dragon toy for under 48 hours. It's like wow! My EMR which is Welford chart notes says you can export a file to Dragon -can't quite figure that part out yet- that's what would enable me to get names and maybe some other medical words in there, however, before I did anything to train the thing at all ,I said out loud idiopathic hypertrophic sub aortic stenosis and it got that just fine so no need to buy any medical Pro version this thing cost $100 and it looks like it will make me not only socially acceptable again but able to get to bed on time. I just have to remember to put in some commas so that I don't sounds so run on; think I can auto command it to do that but I haven't figured it out yet. For anybody interested this is Dragon 11 and I heard about it from Pogue and the New York Times which I read because of Guinn whom I know because I was in the first IMP cohort etc. etc. etc. and unlike other versions of Dragon, which I've heard you really had to train extensively, all I had to do was read a paragraph. They offered me several choices of paragraphs and I just had to read it. I chose a paragraph on Dogbert management skills --nice to know the Dragon people have a sense of humor. Jean really ---noki djing. ;( -- PATIENTS-please remember that email may not be entirely secure, and that Email is part of the medical record and is placed into your chart ( be careful what you say!) Guest guest
is this the Dragon Pro (non-medical ) that you are using? I think my version is 9: sounds like it might be worth an upgrade. Also, tell me what the best way to get the cursor to go to the end of the line. When I say " go to end of line " mostly it doesnt get it right. Maybe some other words? I've used various versions of Dragon for more than 10 years. To insert a comma, just say " comma " . Guest guest
I'm just using ordinary Dragon not pro- just ordinary cheap Dragon. Dragon 11. It's version 11 and cost $100The quick reference card says, and I just tried it, that you should say " go to end of line " –.that works. What I haven't figured out yet is how to get it to type out the words and not do the command-here I just typed them in for you . I don't know why it doesn't work for you. Maybe your Dragon is tired. ;-) Does your Dragon do ;-)? Earlier today I was on Skype doing Instant Messenger with guinn and I think I said, " I'd kind of like to " and it typed Al Qaeda and then apartheid. I guess I have a little training still to do! ;-) BestJean is this the Dragon Pro (non-medical ) that you are using? I think my version is 9: sounds like it might be worth an upgrade.
