Guest guest
its a game we adults play instead of buying for everyone...to many of us, it provides us with over an hour of fun belly laughing almost to tears while the babies play with their new gotten treasures. everyone brings a 25 dollar gift and we draw numbers, #1 goes and picks a gift,he can chose to open it or hold it,then #2 goes he can take number ones or go get his own and open it, and so on down the line till all gifts are out then lucky #1 gets to take any gift he chooses at the end. its fun, one year the money tree was exchanged to many times so now we have a rule if its changed hands 3 times ya cant get it, so you have to be stategic and team up with your spouse lol. they all try to find the best dirty santa gift, for the year. its fun, we love it. then at the end of it, they will all barter for gifts teeheehee. i love watching my kids laugh and play, i pray the youngest gets out of her evil mood by christmas eve,or i will have to spike her egg nogg for the evening hahahahaha. i am sure there are other versions of it but thats ours. in maine as a kid at school we called it the yanky swap. much love barby > > > > > >  you got a deal :) Up by sunday, all my stuff is in the rafters of our garage, but once Bob gets them down I will be forced to put them up...  Hugs, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ____________ _________ _________ __ > > > From: pinkmeetsblue <pinkmeetsblue@ ...> > > > To: livercirrhosissuppo rtyahoogroups (DOT) com > > > Sent: Wed, December 2, 2009 7:42:51 PM > > > Subject: trees off topic > > > > > > ok my peeps ,lets get off topic for a mint. and talk christmasssssss treeeeesssss i need an escape from the hep.c cirrohis crap lol. so whos got their tree up???? elsie has hers up, mines up but needs treakin badly, the house is full of garland christmas totes and stuff everywhere, trying to force myself into being jolly teehee.trying to decide on weather to garland up the doors ways this year hmmmm that glade commercial is lovely, if only i could light a candle and all my decorations just magically hung their stinkin selves lol, heres how i figure it elsie beat me this year getting the tree up... so who else has beaten me?? i need some motivation, alittle friendly competion heh heh heh. i say we should all have our stuff up and twinkling by ..........lets say sunday pm .any takers. then we have to post a picture of our master peices hahahaha. yeah i know i am graspin at starws arent i lol. just a thought. love ya all barby > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------ --------- --------- ------ > > > > > > Group Email:  livercirrhosissuppo rtyahoogroups (DOT) com > > > web address: > > > http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/livercirrh osissupport/ > > >
Guest guest
Ya - I think back to those good memories of the cats being so fascinated with the bulbs and lights, we always had to make sure we knew where they were when we went to bed. Sadly, one has already gone to the place that cats go and the other one is just old and ornery. Today, a cousin dropped off one of her miniature standard poodle for us to babysit. That old cat is so put out that he's making sure the dog does not come up the stairs from my office. It's so funny!!! Soon, he'll be away too tired to keep up the vigilance. Guest guest
Really Jill - society still judged a teenage mother 30 yrs ago??? I thought that by that time, they were actually putting daycares right in the High Schools. Geez, like our mothers and grandmothers weren't pregnant before marriage. I was obviously a bit older than you by a few years, when I became a single mother of a now 30 yr old. There has never been a time, ever that I wished I didn't have him. Oh maybe just a little when he was a mouthy, know it all teenager; but, not seriously. I already use colour in my hair!! Except that for some weird reason, since I've been on the first treatment over 5 yrs ago, colour will not actually soak into my hair shaft. Used to be strawberry blond up till I was in my twenties when it started to really lighten. Then spent my 30's and 40's trying to be a redhead again - only to find out in my 50's that it's a waste of energy. Gloria ________________________________ sounds like a fun christmas to me gloria!!see how blessed you truely are and how you bless others. get that tree goin toots teeheehee. i dint do mine either, where as i was the pregnant drop out back in the day. and the names that were called, i just decided not to go. i was gonna go out of spite cause this young teenage mother had done so well for herself, and did i mention i was hot back then lol. and that sweet little child i got pregnant with turned out to be the best ranger of 2009. so the heck with all those that shunned me..including the family members.i am glad i had my baby, and kept him, hes a wonderful 30 yr. old man!!! thats so weird on the 11th my baby will be 30.omg someone grab me a bottle of ms.clairol FAST !!! > > The first time my High School had set up a reunion was for the 25th. Guest guest
I haven't had that kind of hair since I was about 21 or so. Burnt my scalp with bleach before a colour and so had to have it all cut off and I wore a wig until my hair grew back somewhat. Then, it was so funny, the first day I arrived at work with just my own hair - one of the newer staff starting complimenting me on my wig. Had to show her that for the first time since she had come to work - it was actually my own hair. Don't think I ever used bleach on me head after that!! A couple of hairdresser's have had to, just to finally strip my hair because of new products that didn't work so good on me. Gloria My hair and its color comes in a box and lives on a styrofoam head when not on mine. Don't ever have to color it. wash it once a month or so, and since I have 4 that I wear, not even that often. Only required a good shake and a little shaping after I put it on. Love it, it provides for my social life, or I would stay home. Couldn't possibly go out with my own. Jan H > I'm the 5R-gray solutions! Guest guest
22 years ago when my 16 year old daughter was pregnant with the grandson who now lives with me, she went to what they called an alternative school, she went to each of her classes for 15 minutes a week, handed in her homework and got her assignments for the next week. The school was for pregnant students and problems students who had to go to school but couldn't be in a regular classroom and anyone else who for some reason wanted to take a course there, such as kids where were emancipated and needed to work full time. Was actually a good experience for her. She was bored with their usual assignments, so asked for harder work, prepared her for college which she started before graduating from high school. Then she transferred college courses to the high school and graduated from there too. My second daughter was harassed at regular school, so she transferred over too, and did very well there too. After I graduated from college, I went there and took some computer courses which helped me to get a job more than my college degree. Guest guest
I'm getting ready for bed ,but I'll talk with you tomorrow Sounds exciting!!                                                                            Love,Jill  We don't remember days, we remember moments. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. ________________________________ To: livercirrhosissupport Sent: Fri, December 4, 2009 10:35:38 PM Subject: Re: trees off topic  Jill, I am a bmom, involved in Search and Reunion in Minnesota. Do you mind if I ask what you have done to find him? I don't know if Missouri has a Yahoo search group, but many states do. Our MN group has found many adoptees, just knowing the non identifying information with no names or locations given. We can look at it and figure out the most likely places to look, and then look for other things that give possible names. If you are interested and need some help, let me know.
