Guest guest
The first time my High School had set up a reunion was for the 25th. I didn't know whether I really wanted to go or not, because High School was not much fun for me. Then, my first husband's story of being charged with the gruesome murder of his 4TH wife, hit all the major and minor newspapers probably just about across the country. So, of course, I didn't go because I sure didn't want to be the whole topic for the weekend. The next one they put together was for the 40th!! I came close to going but in the end, got in touch with what used to be my two best friends in High School and we had a little weekend together. The whole thing seemed to be planned around eating and drinking and neither one of the three of us do much of that. By the way, my Christmas tree will stay in the box probably until much closer to the day. Neither one of us is into decorating much for it anyway. I'll probably try to find some of those Glade Christmas candles to smell the place up. Besides, we are having something like 15 altogether for Christmas dinner and not even one of them are our own kids or grandkids. This year, we are having the waifs in this huge family and their children. Mostly they are either nieces or great-neices and a great-nephew!! That's what's so exciting for us!! Helping to have a big family Christmas even though we only play surrogate grandparents etc. In one case, the nieces mother is still out on the streets using!! Probably doesn't even realize that she has another granddaughter. Then, the two great-neices and nephew lost their mother 7 years ago and the younger two ended up in the social system, mostly because their own grandmother ignored the situation. I've been sooo happy since I found those 3 once again recently and in fact, the youngest who is now 17, is coming to live with us and finish school etc. I should have thrown her in my car over 5 yrs ago when I saw her; but, I was just starting treatment and didn't know what that would be like. I've felt guilty ever since and so am extremely excited to have her and touch with her sibs!! Gloria ________________________________ Barby- Which Glade candle is it that when you light it your house magically decorates itself?? I need to get that one!! LOL !! Guest guest
I just finished putting up my tree a little while ago. We now have 3 cats, the youngest one not quite a year old yet and 'Little Redneck " is into everything! I went to Kmart and bought a 42 " fiber optic tree and put it in my front bay window and hung some unbreakable ornaments on it. Redneck helped the whole time. My son came home and said " you gotta be kidding! That's the tree? Guest guest
We were going to put our tree up last weekend, but didn't get to it. We changed the living room around so we have a spot for it. Our 3 cats like to play with the ornaments like most cats do. They are a little more mellowed out now than they used to be. My husband had to bring our treadmill up from the basement again so I can get more excercise...hepatologist's orders. I've been putting my little Shih Tzu dog on it lately, and she is so cute walking on the treadmill. She wants to walk on it since I give her a little dog biscuit afterwards. She never liked any treats before, but now she does. She's even started begging for bananas now. She loves them! She has come a long way since we got her in 2006 after she was rescued from a puppy mill. Guest guest
sounds like a fun christmas to me gloria!!see how blessed you truely are and how you bless others. get that tree goin toots teeheehee. i dint do mine either, where as i was the pregnant drop out back in the day. and the names that were called, i just decided not to go. i was gonna go out of spite cause this young teenage mother had done so well for herself, and did i mention i was hot back then lol. and that sweet little child i got pregnant with turned out to be the best ranger of 2009. so the heck with all those that shunned me..including the family members.i am glad i had my baby, and kept him, hes a wonderful 30 yr. old man!!! thats so weird on the 11th my baby will be 30.omg someone grab me a bottle of ms.clairol FAST !!! Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. ________________________________ To: livercirrhosissupport Sent: Thu, December 3, 2009 10:17:49 AM Subject: Re: trees off topic  118a girl teeheehee > > > > The first time my High School had set up a reunion was for the 25th. Mostly they are either nieces or great-neices and a great-nephew! ! > > > > Gloria > > > > > > ____________ _________ _________ __ > > > > > > Barby- Which Glade candle is it that when you light it your house magically decorates itself?? I need to get that one!! LOL !! The space is cleared for the tree, but it's not up yet. I hurt,Ed hurts and our enthusiastic teen is too busy with college. BUT tomorrow the tree is going up and will be decorated before we go to the Symphony's Christmas Concert which Jordan plays violin with........ then Sat, Ed and I are going to a party with all of my close friends from kindergarden thru 10th grade that I haven't seen in 40 years!! YIKES ! I hope I look somewhat as good as they do!! Please let them all be overweight and bald!! Is that bad??
