Guest guest
Good Afternoon, If an esrd pt who has medicare prime needs a cardiac cath prior to kidney transplant who should be billed? Medicare or KACC? I heard somewhere that medical intervention during evaluation for a recipient or donor is not allowed during the pre transplant. Guest guest
A diagnostic cardiac cath can go under KACC any intervention would have to be billed to the patient's insurance. We usually inform our cardiology department of this before the procedure.
