lori,

i to have used dr.levin for my tr and have had success but ended in

m/c in march. my history is only one tube the other is twiseted shut

, i have not ovualted once on my own and have had to take many

fertility drugs and now my second round of injections along with my

5th insemination next week. i have to also take a progestorone supp

2x a day for 18 days or 10 weeks if i get pg.

my husband also agreed that if god meant for us to have other children

(we have 3 great boys)he would let me get pg, well lets see that

lasted about6 months total and he said well god gave us modern

medicine and re's to help us achieve our goals in life.

i never had one clue that all of this was wrong with my body and that

it would take me shoving needles in my stomach every night to get pg

let alone here i am 18 months later still ttc, BUT god willing and

my faith stays strong i will get pg and carry to term and deliver a

healthy baby. that is what faith is all about.

nothing personal about me venting its the drugs i am on but i love

dr.levin to death he has given my husband and i a chance at true

completeness with our family ans total happiness in life. he should

truly be sainted for the work he does.

i have not yet crossed the road to ivf but when and if i do and i can

afford it i will be the first in line. i have friends that have spent

50 grand and up for a child.thats true devotion.

many prayers to you and your family.

Lori:

I am 41 and had the same experience with my ob. First he asked me

about doing my tl right before delievery, wrote that it was signed

the month before. I had to have a 30 day waiting period to have tl

in that hospital. Iknow why now. Then he told me he would ask right

before he did tl the day of delievery if I was sure, HE DID NOT. He

knocked me out and when I woke up I was half a women. ( WEll the

outside of me was one and a half women the inside was only half. Tee

hee.

I cried for weeks over having it done. Even talked to my family

doc. He said it was time to move on with my life, (blow off), talked

to the doc that did the tL he said ok I will fix it when you have

enough money. I made first payment, was called in for a TALK with

the doc. He said I was too old, tr didn't work well, I might die

from tubal pregnancy. By the time I left his office I was a wreck.

Run as fast as you can from your RE. There are ones that will

encourage you. They will give you hope. I talked with Venice (I

think that is her name) Dr. Levins RN. when I was there the other

day. We discussed how old my family members were when they went

through ther change etc. Dr. Levins office have been so supportive.

I have even found a nice ob here in my small town that believe it or

not supported me having another child. I just started making calls,

explained I had a TR, I am working with an out of town fertility

specialist, I am 41, and we want a baby. Will you be my doctor and

support our decision. He said of course, and you are not too old I

just delieved a baby from a 45 year old mother.

Keep Looking.
