I believe Walter Last is correct about MMS2 becomes hypochlorous acid once wet, gettting past stomach acid is important, if it interacts with stomach acid (hypochloric acid), he states it will form chlorine, something we don't want, this most likely is what causes the uncomfy burping... 

Hypochlorous acid is what our body produces to kill pathogens.. 

These links talk about hypochlorous acid + hypochloric acid forming chlorine (what we want to avoid I would think).

Can you see the reasoning of Walter Last? It is important for MMS2 in capsule form to get past the stomach, thus avoiding being mixed with hypochloric acid in the stomach and forming chlorine... And thus it is also important to drink high amounts of water to dilute stomach acid and to push the capsule beyond the stomach.. 

Since chlorine would be formed if the capsule opens in the stomach, what would be the benefit of this? I have Googled what others are doing, it is mixed, some take with food, some on an empty stomach... There does not seem to be any clear direction on how MMS2 should be taken... I personally feel it is best to avoid it turning into chlorine in the stomach... 

This is something JH needs to clarify...

Have you tried this yet?  The capsule opens in the stomach, within a minute. Within 2-3 minutes if double capsuled!  It makes you very sick to your stomach. I'm getting nauseated just writing about it! :-0  And I know you don't want this stuff coming up your esophagus.

I can't find where Humble says it needs to be on an empty stomach. In his directions (that I found) he doesn't mention stomach whether full or empty.  I know he has stuff posted everywhere, but I looked at his main instruction page.

As far as Walter Last goes, I don't know if his chemistry is correct or not. I'd think (hope) Humble would be up on this. And as far as, " capsule can dissolve in the duodenum " I think he (Last) is wrong. It won't make it.  Unless the capsule is entarically (sp?) coated, I think it will open in the stomach no matter what......

I'm not taking MMS2 right now because of this confusion. A year and a half ago, I took it with food. I could keep it down.
