Guest guest Posted February 14, 2011 Report Share Posted February 14, 2011 In Medicare publications, it states that an insurance company CANNOT sell a person a Medigap plan when they have a Medicare Advantage plan. If they have one, the insurance companies will not coordinate benefits and the pt is paying for nothing. The only slight advantage to the MA plan would be if the patient has a low out of pocket cost. The Medicare B coinsurances for immunos would apply under this and once its met, the immunos would be covered at 100%.
