Guest guest
I went to medical school late in life, after being a nurse and stay at home Mom. I really love being a family medicine doctor but I hate the treadmill of seeing patients in 15 min or less as in my last employment. I love the values I hear from members of this group and I want to open my own office so I can practice the best medicine. I have been very excited since IMP camp in the fall. But, I turned 65 in March and just went on Medicare. (Every time I say that, I feel as if I am talking about someone else!) I do not feel old (probably from always hanging out with younger residents) and my health is good. Maybe it is a bit late, but I think I can do this. I plan to work at least 10 more years, if not more. I have always been a bit of a rebel, but, business wise, is it foolish for me to even think of starting a practice now? Please give me your thoughts. Thank you in advance, Eckhardt
