Hi nyia,

When i came off paxil I had trouble walking for about 4 months my knees swelled up i spent alot of time crying because i didn't know how to fix myself.I remember trying this icy hot on my knees and my legs went on fire and i had to sit in a bath for hours trying to wash the stuff off took hours for it to calm down. The pain does eventualy subside from everywhere but it takes time and lots of it.I remember in the throws of withdrawal living from min to min then it went up to 15 mins as i am sure some of the new ones suffering are going through it right now hanging on for dear life at that stage you can't tell how well you are doing.I remember wishing my life away as time wasn't going by fast enough.I started to get windows round about 2 weeks off of the paxil it was like being born again it would last for a few mins then each time it came back it would stay a bit longer untill i was more in the real world than the hell and it was hell no other way to discribe it i was a zapped out jibbering mess staring at walls all day.I did not sign up for that no one ever deserves to have to go through that.Take heart new ones it does get better the key to it is time after a month off i could look back and see how i had improved i tried before that and it didn't work.

My concentration is still about zilch i go of on a tangent even when i try to write a post.I don't think the doctors will find out what is wrong with you nyia they can label you with anything they like and it might be still withdrawal and go away by itself.I think if a doctor had been in charge of me during withdrawal god only knows what kind of labels i would have been given.I don't think there is one in the book they would have missed infact they would probably have sent me to the funny farm for teling them what i was going through.

Hugs Ros

I have been tentatively diagnosed with some kind of Rhuematoid

Condition or perhaps Chronic Mono or Fatigue Syndrome. The doctors

aren't sure yet. I am being sent to a specialist. But, I wanted to

know if any of this could be from the withdrawal? Has anyone

experienced SEVERE chronic fatigue, aching muscles and joints to the

point of barely being able to walk, move, write or type. I am so

tired and in so much pain most days that I cry. But, I do not know

how to fix it.

I take multi-vitamins and Cal/Mag and iron Supplements. I am 4

months paxil free and on no other drugs. My initial withdrawal

symptoms are better but not gone. Less rages, although they are

still there. I find I get severely frustrated to the point of a 1 -2

minute scream session once per day. But, I can control when and how

much better. I am also finally sleeping solid through the night.

I really hope I do not have a new condition. I am not sure I can

take much more. I won't take their drugs anyway, which then leaves

me feeling as if I have no hope. I know intellectually that is not

true, but don't know how to find a good Naturopath, nor can I afford

one. I am applying for disability as it is.

Anyway, I didn't mean to go on. If anyone has any thoughts,

opinions, ideas or resources I would love to hear them.

Thanks,

nyia

Hi Nyia,

I am about 4 months post pax too. Seems like this winter was the

worst ever as far as " flu " they call it, HA, more like Paxil F'ing

with you, month after month. Anyways... I never had mono, so I

can't compare to that.

But...

Though my energy level is often all wiped out & seems really outta

whack, I can't say I have chronic fatigue. I'm very tired (all the

time) & also lack focus & stamina, but not to the point of apply for

disability, tho, the " thought " had crossed my mind - but, luckily, I

don't feel that I am THAT bad off to go that route. I think PaxHell

sucks ass, but I won't lay down and go 'outta life' more, by

becoming actually labled dis_abled - though man, I feel like it

sometimes, just tossing in the towel and saying " GSK, you

won " ! " You've officially messed up thy brain, yo! " - but I won't...

I tried to talk to my doc about PaxilCR a little bit, about 2 days

ago, and he scolded me a tad, telling me that I should have called

him first, before I q/t'd it, as he just ended the conversation,

joking & laughing a little, but I felt like saying, " Hey man, I

still feel all *jazzed* (F'ed) up from that experience " - I mean,

really...what can honestly do?.

Hope you're close to being ok,

hugs
