Guest guest
Pinky , Carol my fellow " Felonian " is correct, as usual. I have a poor body image. While we were at South Coast Plaza on Friday I was pointing out all the women with gorgeous bodies that mirrored my standard of " thinness. " I told Carol that I would not be happy until I looked as thin as those women. Carol looked at me like I was crazy! The women I pointed to were at least 8 inches taller than me, and probably 30 pounds under weight on a conventional Body Mass Index chart. Carol advised me that I would be miserable the rest of my life until I embraced my own uniqueness. She of course is correct, again. *Sigh* The next day I contorted myself into a pair of size 4 stretch Jag Jeans. That was a great day. I am learning to enjoy how far I have come in my WLS journey. and to develop " realistic expectations " instead of trying to beat my body into submission. That insight comes courtesy of Melody! Thank you both for the sage advice! Robyn > ,> > You WILL be just as thin and " cute " as the rest of us. Guest guest
Robyn, You also forgot to mention that all the objects of your envy were also - ahem - half your (and my) age. Start comparing yourself to gals your own age and you'll soon realize that you're pretty darn hot! Carol Body image Pinky , Carol my fellow " Felonian " is correct, as usual.
