Guest guest
Thanks for the detailed response..I really appreciate it I don't know what the DHEA did exactly...all I know is that it caused the worst insomnia I've ever had! Most times I would be up all night until 8 or 9am...if I did fall asleep, I would wake up constantly all night long. Since stopping the DHEA this hasn't happened. Could that have been low Cortisol? I thought only high cortisol would cause those kinds of sleep issues? (so much to learn!) I understand now what you were saying about the conversion into DHEA- S. I was just remembering the hormone 'flow chart' which shows DHEA converts into estrogen, testosterone, etc. Since all of my hormones are low (including DHEA), it seems there is an issue further up the chain (at the Cholesterol or Pregnenolone conversion). I've often wondered if I might have a pituitary issue. Would being hypopituitary cause issues like this? Or is it more likely due to my low adrenals & Hashi's?
