Guest guest
Thank you everybody for your input on this issue. You've certainly given me a lot to think about, and I'm going to copy this over to the main group and see what they think too. There's so much conflicting info out there, it's hard to know what to believe. The mercury isn't really the main concern for me -- I've only had 13 immunizations which is about 1/2 of what kids get now, plus no fillings and I'm careful about seafood intake, etc. I am worried about the possibility of infection since I'll be working with blood and tissue from infants with no immune system -- these babies can, and do, come in with all sorts of infections. Plus, the work is fairly new to me so there's a good chance I'll make some clumsy beginner's mistakes that could be dangerous. I'll try to get a call into my endo, but my chances of hearing back from her before the appointment are pretty slim. I'll also ask tons of questions at the appointment and see what other options there are. I've found a few articles on the subject, but my brain is too fried to read through them right now. I'm going to try attaching them (not quite sure how that works yet) in case any of you interested morning people want to take a crack at it. Organizations ask employees to take vaccincation to protect the organization from potental law suits if the employee contracts a disease or illness. I do not take vaccinations. I signed a release to protect the employer from potential law suit and did not have any vaccination. patricia ----------------------------------------------------------------------- >HI Jen, Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what I read about HC and Vaccines but I know that I have read Cautions about taking Cortisol and getting Vaccines. I think it may have been that the Cortisol negates the immunity reaction so renders the vaccine useless, but I am not at all sure- Please do the research and find out for yourself. Just type " Hydrocortisone and Vaccination " into any search engine and you will get the information. Very Important for you to know in your decision making process. Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev Do not have a vaccination, other immunization, or any skin test while you are taking hydrocortisone unless your doctor tells you that you may. >
