Guest guest
Hi EveryOne, I am trying to find an Organic Adrenal Glandular, if not Organic then from New Zealand sources, to avoid mad cow.... Has anyone found an Adrenal Glandular that works well for them and doesn't upset their stomach? I also use Isocort and sometimes HC, but I find I feel better on the Isocort than on the HC most of the time. I get a full sensation in my head with the HC, not painful, but just doesn't feel quite right. Still experimenting!!! Tried the HC for awhile recently to raise my temperature which stays between (97.9 and 98.1) all day but it didn't raise my temp at all. I have had normal 98.6 temps in the recent past but lately I seem to break out in a sweat at 97-98 F. and my body cools itself at that point and my temperature won't go any higher. Temperature Set point too low...strange...any ideas? Feels like it might be a toxin or Lymes or something.....??? Seem to be on the correct amount of Armour for me, 5 Grains, - I took 6 by mistake yesterday and it was too much.... Any ideas about what is keeping my temperature low would be appreciated. It may be the lack of Cortisol but it doesn't seem to make any difference when I take HC 2.5 four times a day and I know I don't feel well on 5mg. HC four times a day, raises my blood pressure and it is too much for me. I take more HC occasionally for stress and it is OK but not on a daily basis... I am thinking of trying Thyroplex 2 or 3 times a day as it works well for me in the morning. I haven't tried it more than once per day so far. Has anyone else tried that, or any combination that worked for them? I still haven't found the right adrenal combination for me...better, but not quite there yet, would really like to see my temperature higher around 98.6. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome, still experimenting.......:-)) Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev

Guest guest
Hi Bev, Nutricology/Allergy Research do an excellent adrenal glandular which is organic and derived from New Zealand Cattle. The stomach ache people get from adrenal glandulars is becasue they are consuming *whole* adrenal glandulars which contain all the adrenal hormones - in particular adrenaline. It is the adrenaline which can lead to a stomache ache. If however you take an adrenal cortex glandular (which includes only the outside or cortex of the adrenal gland) you only get the beneficial hormones such as cortisol, and avoid adrenaline. I've never had any reaction to adrenal cortex glandulars, but I regularly get stomach aches from whole adrenal glandular. So get the Adrenal Cortex Glandular from nutricology. Hope that helps, . > Hi EveryOne, > > I am trying to find an Organic Adrenal Glandular, if not Organic then from > New Zealand sources, to avoid mad cow.... > > Has anyone found an Adrenal Glandular that works well for them and doesn't > upset their stomach? > > I also use Isocort and sometimes HC, but I find I feel better on the Isocort > than on the HC most of the time. Guest guest
Hi , Yes, that helps a lot!!! I am finding that I have the same experience you describe: the whole adrenal glandular causes problems and the adrenal cortex, both form Nutricology, works fine:-)) I am happy to know why.... Thank you for the explanation!!! Have a great weekend. Guest guest
Hmmm, I am already taking 5 Grains of Armour sublingually in divided doses five times a day, I actually feel pretty good, I'm getting some exercise something I haven't done in awhile and it feels goood...........I could add another 1.2 grain of Armour or a bit of Cytomel, although I don't know anything about taking Cytomel. I think I will try adding another 1/2 grain of Armour in the am...and see if it raises my temperature at all. Thanks for the feedback:-)) Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > >>Temperature Set point too low...strange...any ideas?<< > > For me this is directly from low T3. > > -- > Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV > My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations > The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
Guest guest
Hi Val, I hear you! So, this morning I increased the amount of Armour and in all will take either 5 1/2 or 6 grains/day depending on how I feel later. In addition I am taking Isocort 2, four times a day, Thyroplex, in the am which also contains 40mg of Thyroid plus adrenal and other glandulars and Nutricology Adenal Cortex in the afternoon and with dinner. So far I feel better having the extra Armour early in the day....time will tell. If this doesn't work my plan is to go back on HC 2.5 four times a day and try once again to increase it to 5mg four times a day, if it feels OK to do so. Trying to get the T3 into the cells!!! I also have Cynomel (Cytomel T3) which I can try if the six grains of Armour don't do the trick. Does anyone have any suggestions of the best way to use Cytomel with Armour? Thanks Val and everyone for your feedback and support. It is for sure no doc would try these doses of Armour but lower ones have not worked for me. with a TSH of 3.4 before meds, I never thought I would end up needing 6 grains of Armour! Going for a hike today and feeling pretty good....have a lovely day everyone:-)) Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev Thyroid-Adrenal Connection Information & Resources http://www.bestweb.net/~om/thyroid > > >>Temperature Set point too low...strange...any ideas?<< > > For me this is directly from low T3. > > -- > Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV > My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations > The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
Guest guest
Hi Val, How much Cytomel would you recommend to start with? For awhile, I will stick with the additional Armour but I just went for quite a walk up a small mountain and back and I felt fine, but I just took my temperature and it is lower than usual 97.4.......I thought with all that exercise and the added Armour it would be higher, but no....my blood pressure was 138/80 pulse 71 before I left for the hike....now two hours after returning home it is 133/80 pulse 76 that is the highest blood pressure I have ever had in my life! Usually less than 120/78 So the extra Armour raised my BP but not my temp.....grrrr. I took one HC 2.5mg on top of the mountain but I felt fine the whole time...still my temp is now lower not higher....I am the only one I know whose temperature goes down with exercise!!! I will give it some more time...for the Armour to work..a week or so and if it still doesn't work, I will take HC four times a day with the 6 grains of Armour, and if that still doesn't work I will try the Cytomel according to whatever you suggest.... If that doesn't work I will put away my thermometer and blood pressure cuff and just enjoy feeling better than I have in a long time:-)) Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > I take my Cytomel four times a day including at bedtime! Guest guest
Hi EveryOne, Whoops, Thyroplex only contains 15mg.of Thyroid, along with Pituitary, Hypothalamus, and Adrenal Hormone. Sorry for the error... Guest guest
Hi Deborah and EveryOne, Yes, I thought so too but I tried HC for a few weeks just recently and it did nothing to raise my temperature either. I also tried raising my HC to 5mg.four times a day and it did not feel good to me at all. Actually I am one of those people who feel better on Isocort than HC. There is something in HC that gives me a very strong feeling at my core which I love, but it also makes my head feel full in a way I don't like. I also find I have more sustained energy with the Isocort than the HC. Still experimenting though and I am willing to try HC again. How much did you need to raise your temperature?
