Guest guest
I think someone posted before about low Zinc or potassium causing cramps as well. Also another thing to keep an eye on with cramps is kidney function. As the disease progresses it can cause kidney problems which will also cause cramping. Muscle wasting can also do this as well. Guest guest
Thanks MaC, I have had cramps all over my body is spots at different times, hands feet, legs, arms, shoulder. My hands get into positions I could never force them into. I have been curious since I am either high or normal for all the things I had been told cause cramping. now I will just put it down to my kidneys, see if it gets any better when they put me on dialysis. Just please excuse the screaming until then. You can probably hear me in Korea when they first shock me, until I get used to it and then just moan and groan. Guest guest
Bobby - sometimes those things really aren't much of a bother. I have one too, but it only shows up when I am having tests, you can't hear it when I am standing up and it doesn't bother my heart. I also have a sheet of paper Ed's doctor told me to carry with me all the time because it shows that he has a record of a certain problem which can scare doctors when first noticed, but if you can show that it has existed for a certain period of time, then it isn't much of a problem, just one of those irregularities we all have somewhere or other in our bodies. See if they can check you when you are standing up. Some tests they can, and others they can't. I think they can on an echo. It is the ones involving the machines you go into they can't do that. All these tests get to be a pain in the you know where, don't they? And yet they can be what keeps us alive. I have a friend who takes nitro a lot and she won't go to a heart specialist to find out what the problem really is. I hope your murmur turns out to be one which isn't a big problem. Guest guest
I had a heart murmur before my transplant, but the doctors said it was caused by all the fluid in my belly. After my transplant, it went away and went back to normal.
