Guest guest
Cherie, The spit test is not scientific . . . It came from a company that sells a probiotic forumla that isn't nearly as effective as Garden of Life's. However, it's free and it tracks very well with how well you manage an antifungal program! - especially diet! The first thing in the morning, before putting anything in your mouth, spit in a glass of water. Check it after 15 minutes. If it's clear, or just slightly cloudy, you pass. If there's a milky blob with tendrils hanging down, floating chunks, or a milky blob at the bottom of the glass, it indicates candida. . . (I had all three!) Do a websearch on " herx " . . . They can explain it better than I can. Basically, it's toxics turned loose, or created by fungal die-off that makes symptoms increase temporarily. It's important to learn how your body reacts so you can differentiate a herx from being sick. . . The idea is to learn how to control the herx so you won't quit working a program. Gradually you should be able to increase whatever you're taking/doing. Each time you finish a herx, you should feel just a little bit better than you did before. Keeping a journal of what you do and how you feel will help in understanding what's going on as well as help you see that you are making progress. Kathy has had some horrible herxes - she can tell you more about that! Hugs, Rogene --- Cherie <cheriesut@...> wrote: > Rogene - that really helped.
