Guest guest
OK, so I occasionally read the pro-implant sites just to see if anyone has any questions about explant, or if I can direct anyone who's having problems somewhere else. I figure if it's really a site to help people make informed decisions (which we know it's not), then all viewpoints should be allowed (but we know they aren't). I read a post today from someone who was researching implants, and she was concerned because she read that a 20 year old study said that implants caused brain cancer. Well, she was accused of being a " troll " , someone who really wasn't looking into implants but instead was one of those freaks who was anti-implant and was just looking to make trouble. Someone who responds quite frequently and considers herself to be very well informed on implants told her that 20 years ago, implants were made of polyurethane, so therefore the study was outdated. Could be the study was outdated, however it's a shame that people with legitimate concerns on a pro-implant site have to end up defending themselves for even asking the question. It's also a shame that the report on the Cancer Society's page is 20 years old, and that none of the people who are sick have been studied. I'm sitting here typing this message with my sore fingers, looking at the screen with my blurred vision, and feeling really sad for those who will end up in the same boat as us because they went to a site that feeds the machine, looking for honest information, and instead ended up having to defend themselves for doing the research that the pro-implant site supposedly recommends.
