Guest guest
Hi Cherie, Thank you for asking about me! Actually I have wanted to find time to get on here and answer a few posts, but it just hasn't happened. I am trying to keep up, but not doing a very good job. I know you are all in probably very similar situations this time of year, and I admire you all for keeping up so well! I feel so terrible that I am not writing, and I do miss posting....this time of year is just a bear to keep up. A quick update on a few things I wanted to share with the group, because I thought they were instructive: My dad is a good example of why we need to take care of our livers and keep them from getting sluggish! Last week he had surgery--this was after two days of being in the hospital having testing done and finding nothing. They finally decided to look at the gallbladder and do surgery--and when they opened him up, the doctor said he found the most infected gallbladder he has ever seen....there was pus filling the bile ducts, and he had gallstones inside. They told him he had alot of sludge. The infection also had spread into his bloodstream (they called it sepsis) Yikes! That was enough to make me give thanks for the liver flushes I have already done, tough as they were! And also to never forget to keep up with a program for cleansing the liver and gallbladder! My dad is still recovering. They beat him up pretty good. He's had over 70 years of eating, eating, eating and never cleansing anything. It's no wonder his gallbladder was infected and sluggish. (Is that making anyone ready to do some cleansing in the new year? I hope so!) The other thing I have been dealing with is a urinary tract infection. My first in many years, and I was so disappointed. I had been on a dreaded antibiotic per my endodontist (still dealing with root canal issues), so this UTI took me by surprise. I was in disbelief that I could even get one while on an antibiotic! (I was on Clindamycin). I ended up in urgent care at 2 am on Sunday morning and now I am on levoquin. What concerns me are the side effect warnings for the first Rx. I have a bit of abdominal pain right now, but after I finish my last pill tonight, I am going to hit that Primal Defense hard. The last thing I want is a yeast infection. I really didn't want to be on the antibiotics at all, but I was a little worried about the root canal. I still have burning in that area. So, anyway, that's what's going on. With the UTI, I've been more tired and just trying to keep my head above water! But I've been reading your posts, and I am so proud of all of you! You guys are doing great, and persevering through the difficult moments. I wanted to tell some of you who are dealing with that 5 week end of the honeymoon period after explant, it is all normal! I know it is very disheartening to see symptoms come back, but it happens. It just means that you are healing in somewhat of a predictable pattern. Those symptoms may hang on for a period of time, but gradually you will get better and better. Just keep hanging in there, praying and keeping faith that your future is brighter. It is. I know some of our girls are also having marital difficulties. It's so hard. But the advice you've all shared and given is great. I have alot of hope that things for you are going to end up well and that you are going to heal in the long run, both physically and in the marriage arena. I heard from Daryl today...got a Christmas card from her with a picture and she looks fantastic! She looked really, really good. I hope she will try to post soon. Cherie, thanks again for asking about me. I hope you all know that I think about you --all of you-- every day and pray for your healing and wellness. I noticed Lea's absence too...Lea, I hope you are okay! God bless us all! Love, Patty --- In , " auntsisnj " <auntsisnj@l...> wrote: > > I haven't seen Lea in a while, either. Guest guest
Patty, Sometimes I get bladder infections when I take antibiotics - it's happened more than once. Of course my doctor would say that's not what caused it, but it's happened too many times to deny. It's not all antibiotics, just certain ones. Guest guest
Hi Patty - it was nice to hear from you. I hope I didn't make you feel guilty about not posting - it was just to make sure you were okay and let you know I missed you. It sounds like you have been having a rough time of it. How is your Dad now? Maybe your father will listen to you about cleansing? I hope you don't feel too bad when you cleanse yourself from the antiobiotics. Take care of yourself, and don't let this season stres you. My husband and I are both convicted about the holidays (though I think we are alone), and we don't celebrate them at all - even with kids. Love and prayers, Cherie > > > > > > Just wondering - I miss Patty's posts and was wondering when she > > will > > > be back! > > > Cherie > > > > > >
Guest guest
Thanks Sis, that sure is surprising! And oh, how I hate those darned bladder infections! Usually I can ward them off just in time, but this one was too tough for me. Hopefully we never have any more! Ugh! Best wishes on your exams....you be sure to rest up afterward, and enjoy the holidays! Take good care of yourself, and let all that stress out the window. Your body needs some good TLC. Hugs, Patty > > > > > > > > Just wondering - I miss Patty's posts and was wondering when > she > > > will > > > > be back! > > > > Cherie > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Cherie! You didn't make me feel guilty about not posting....I appreciate your kind words, and that was just what I needed to quit neglecting something that I should have been doing. Thanks for the nudge! My dad is healing. HOpefully it will be over soon. I've been sharing my healing ideas with my family for years now. Some listen, some don't, but it is always a slow process! Sometimes people just have to learn the hard way. I hope you begin feeling better too! Don't stress about your healing progress (or lack of it), as it truly takes time. Have a beautiful, beautiful quiet celebration of the birth of our Lord. I don't like the commercialization of it either, but I do consider this an extremely important holiday for us to honor, even if only in our hearts, as we understand the wonderous gift that God gave so freely....it always quiets my heart when I think of our Lord coming to earth as a little babe! He, who made the universe, who knows the stars by name, came to be with us, so that we could be saved through faith, a gift of grace. Truly amazing....
