Can anyone relate? How have you more experienced bflers learned to handle this? Val This is where the protein bars come in handy. The ones I eat are close enough to a candy bar that it staves off the sugar craving. But...sometimes I give in and have a Twix! ;-) Kelley New Half Marathoner
Guest guest
I usually have one of those Detour bars when I'm craving chocolate:) One surefire way of getting my fiance to stop bringing over the cookies and sweets was to just tell him, instead of bringing that over, bring over the detour bars instead. Of course, the cost of one of the big ones is almost 3 dollars in some stores, so now we buy them online. I have a stash and whenever I get the craving, (it's usually around bedtime), I'll grab one of the bars, cut it in half and go on with it. Hope this helps:) leigh fl > I'm way behind in my email but just came across the posts about cravings. > What I want to know from all other PMS sufferers, is how you deal with the > wild monthly cravings that can have you bingeing on chocolate till you > burst, and heaven help anyone who gets in the way and tries to stop you! Guest guest
Hello, I agree with the other ladies on the protein bars... I LOVE sweets and I crave them even when not PMSing (not as bad, but I still crave them) and I find that the protein bars and satisfy my craving/stave it off til my free day. Of course, you have to find a good protein bar - I recommend the peanut butter chocolate EAS Carb sense bar ( I get it at Wal-Mart) or the Chocolate Mint Bally's Soy Protein bar (really, really good). I don't think you have to be a member to buy there bars and you might be able to get them online. Otherwise, maybe you could compromise - like eat something not really within BFL, but not quite as bad as say, Mrs. Field's cookies, - for instance, mix in chocolate chips with your myoplex shake or have one of the Russel Stover's carb sense chocolates? Just some ideas.
