Guest guest
Hi Andy...and All, Yes, it is true. I am now a half marathoner. Right now I am laying on my bed, after a eating filling Victory Dinner put on by Team In Training and having an ice cold Corona. I am bushed. But I completed the run. My watch time was 2:40. Heat and humidty were a significant stressor so my time was slower than I had hoped. I poured water on my head every water station, and grabbed an opportunity to run through sprinklers each time ran ran by one. I called my cancer honoree first thing after I crossed the finish. My family and a couple of friends were here and were a great support to see as I passed them. I will write a more detailed report when I recover some energy. Don't change that dial! Guest guest
Tell us how your marathon went today. It looks like you have nice weather. According to your web page you raised almost $4000. I'm very impressed! There's a 50% chance of scattered t-storms tomorrow during my race, but temps are only supposed to be in the upper 60s. I can live with that even if it rains. Andy
Guest guest
Congratulations! I bet you are exhausted. You'll sleep well. I forgot your marathon was in hot part of the day. The heat and humidity makes a big difference. My marathon tomorrow is unusual in that it starts at 6 AM! I found out when I picked up my packet today there are 140 runners signed up to run so far. Looking forward to hearing your full report. I'm off to bed early since I have to get up at least by 4:30 AM. I hope I can get to sleep. Andy > Hi Andy...and All, > > Yes, it is true.
