Hi Andy...and All,

Yes, it is true. I am now a half marathoner. Right now I am laying on my

bed, after a eating filling Victory Dinner put on by Team In Training and having

an ice cold Corona. I am bushed. But I completed the run. My watch time

was 2:40. Heat and humidty were a significant stressor so my time was slower

than I had hoped. I poured water on my head every water station, and grabbed an

opportunity to run through sprinklers each time ran ran by one.

I called my cancer honoree first thing after I crossed the finish. My family

and a couple of friends were here and were a great support to see as I passed

them.

I will write a more detailed report when I recover some energy. Don't change

that dial!

Tell us how your marathon went today. It looks like you have nice

weather. According to your web page you raised almost $4000. I'm

very impressed!

There's a 50% chance of scattered t-storms tomorrow during my race,

but temps are only supposed to be in the upper 60s. I can live with

that even if it rains.

Congratulations! I bet you are exhausted. You'll sleep well. I

forgot your marathon was in hot part of the day. The heat and

humidity makes a big difference. My marathon tomorrow is unusual in

that it starts at 6 AM! I found out when I picked up my packet today

there are 140 runners signed up to run so far.

Looking forward to hearing your full report. I'm off to bed early

since I have to get up at least by 4:30 AM. I hope I can get to sleep.
