Kim - congradulations on your explant AND for finding

a doctor who is willing and talented enough to remove

your implants en bloc!

It's way to soon to expect fluffing . . . The only

thing to do right now is to wear a snug, but

comfortable sports bra 24/7 until healing is well

underway . . . There's a big range in the recommended

time period . . . IMO, I'd think four to six weeks

would give the optimal results.

You're not going to know what you'll look like for

sure until you're at least six months out. . . so,

don't get discouraged!

It's thrilling to know you're one of the lucky ones

who woke up feeling so good. That's a great omen for

your future health! Not everyone is so fortunate. I

think that's because there are number of reasons why

women get sick from implants. Since nobody is testing

us, we really don't know why!

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

Hi!

Congratulations on your explant! YOu did a wonderful thing for

yourself and I am so excited to hear of your immediate relief and

feeling of freedom from those toxic bags!

It will take some time for your breasts to recover from all this.

Give it some time for fluffing to occur, like about 6 months or

more. You will see them return to their former shape for the most

part. Later on, if you feel the need to have a lift, you can always

consider that at that time. But wait first to see what happens.

I am really glad to hear they were removed en bloc, too. Was your

doctor good for you? Was he/she kind and compassionate or

understanding? Would you recommend them to be added to our list?

Things to promote healing are going to be based on your illness. I

highly recommend undergoing some simple therapies you can do at home

for detoxification. Things like diet change, (to remove foods that

add to your toxic burden), liver supportive supplements, colon

cleansing supplements or foods, fasting, exercise, saunas, jump rope

or rebounding to promote lymphatic drainage, and others...there are

many things you can do. You can research some of them listed in our

archives, and do what you feel most comfortable with.

As for things to help your boobies over time, there are things you

can do now to speed healing, such as eat well and use a product like

Mederma or Vitamin E oil on the scars themselves.

As for filling out, there are some fringe things that have been

tried to help in that aspect. (I think I've done them all, except

for BRAVA.), and I believe we have a few files that might help you

in your search for answers.

In the links section, you can find a folder called " Forums, chat

groups, other support areas " , and there is a Board called " BE Board "

which is breast enhancement. They discuss using herbs for breast

enhancement.

There is also a folder in the links section called " Products that

have helped in our healing " . Inside that folder is another folder

called " Breast Enhancers " , which I found to be very helpful to me.

We've also discussed visual imagery, hypnosis and other ways that

have some sketchy scientific background. I never made a folder for

that. (Is there any interest you guys?)

Again, congratulations on your explant!

Patty

Thank you Rogene for always being so helpful.I hope I will also be able to help other women in the future.I feel wonderful!I can not believe the difference. This sounds silly but hours after the surgery I wanted more than anything to work out!!!LOL....I didn't of course. The doctor I used was very mechanical but professional. Not a great bedside manner but very professional. My sister is a nurse in my area and works at the same hospital as him, I choose him as he has a reputation as a perfectionist. While I know he does not believe implants make women sick he was respectful in my choice of how I wanted them removed and believed that for me personally threy were causing issues. He was not very informative or personable but I would say he was very skilled and did his best and I am pleased.Maybe he should be added to the list because he is willing to do the procedure and it was a success. His name is Dr Young (905) 988-6153.Located at 105 Queenston St. St Catharines, Ontario Canada.glory2glory1401 <glory2glory1401@...> wrote: Hi!Congratulations on your explant! YOu did a

Kim,

I hope you'll be around helping for a long time to

come! . . . We need every woman possible spreading the

word of implant dangers since our FDA seems to have

sold out to the plastic surgeons and implant

manufacturers! There's nothing like a success story to

help women overcome their fear of explant!

A snug, but comfortable sports bra will help the

internal scar tissue that forms after surgery hold you

in place . . . Think of it as an internal " lift " . Once

healing is complete, you won't need it. . . . Whatever

you do, don't wear an underwire bra. Quite a few women

have had pain because of them.

You will look a little flattened with a sports bra for

a while . . . If it's important, you can wear a padded

bra over it to give you some shape - ain't cold

weather and sweaters nice?

Hugs,

Rogene
