Guest guest
ALLA eMDs has a stand alone billing product. It would still be double entry but they have many different clearing houses to choose from. I use Availity formerly Thin. It is free for basic EDI claims submission. 99% of my claims are paid quickly. I need to move my billing from MD Synergy, an office management system, to another company. I am paying MD Synergy $400/month now for just electronic bill submission. I have an in-house biller. (I did not have a choice last year when MD Synergy doubled its price and I had little time to do research. I also had to sign a contract for a year and give them 3 months notice if I did not want it automatically renewed. My contract is up at the end of October and I already gave them notice.)I am now using Amazing Charts for my EMR and appointments. There is double work for my biller/secretary since all appointments need to be re-entered into MD Synergy for billing purposes. AC is expecting to have its own billing software but it may not happen for months/years. Here are my specific questions:Is it easy to move to another clearing house? Any tips on how to do it?Would Office Ally be a good choice for me? Is there a better solution for AC? Thanks in advance for your invaluable help.Alla
Guest guest
Your in-house biller should be doing this research for you.I have been using Doctors Access since 1993 and have always been happy with them. It is clean and straight forward. Check out their web site www.doctorsaccess.com.--- Subject: Re: Need help with billingTo: Date: Monday, August 2, 2010, 2:33 PM ALLA eMDs has a stand alone billing product. Guest guest
I have had AC for 4 years, exporting to EZ claims for billing software for 3 years and uploadong to Iplexus clearing house X 2 yr--present combo is working quite well, though not perfect. Very difficult if you do not have a billing software. You can can call/e-mail me if you need details. --Padma > > Hello Everyone, > I am confused as to what to do next. > I need to move my billing from MD Synergy, an office management system, to another company. Guest guest
Oh, and 2 years ago I changed to Iplexus from Emdeon, they were a relatively smooth switch (took about 2 mths), since I overlapped them both, and I have a biller too who spent many hours on the phone co-ordinating. EZ claims is an expense, but worth it to me. > > > > Hello Everyone, > > I am confused as to what to do next. > > I need to move my billing from MD Synergy, an office management system, to another company. Guest guest
Alla It was not hard for me to move…. I would look at the Practice Fusion/Kareo combo Practice Fusion does not cost unless you choose their “no ad” model And Kareo is very reasonable in cost yet robust.
