Guest guest Posted November 30, 2005 Report Share Posted November 30, 2005 My daughter just got contacts. I asked the doctor what they were made of. He said " Silicone hydrogel. " Imagine that. I am wondering how many of the sick women wear contacts, and have noticed any difference in wearing them since getting implants? Like any developing allergic reactions or a sudden intolerance? I thought it was interesting that the doctor said my daughter has to have a follow up after wearing them for the first week, to see if she is having any kind of allergic reaction to the materials. Hmmm! So, optometrists know that people can have allergic reactions to silicone???? Gee, I wonder how come other doctors don't!!
