Guest guest Posted December 14, 2005 Report Share Posted December 14, 2005 Hi everyone, After surgery I started developing a large bump in my vein on my left hand where the IV was put during surgery. It has been getting bigger and bigger every day. I called Dr. Kolb and she said it is an infection of my vein and if it didnt go away soon that I would have to get it removed (it is called a Plebolith). Anyhow, she mentioned that I would have to call a plastic or vascular surgeon. It is so gross and it is beginning to hurt. I called so many diff. plastic surgeons then vascular that are in my health care network in Columbus and I keep gettin the same answers...that it is either too small of a problem or that they just can't help me. Any suggestions would be helpful. I would like to get it take care of before Xmas and I would rather not go to Urgent Care and spend the $$$ then get turned down...thanks ladies!
