Guest guest
After months of waiting for an appointment I finally saw the plastic surgeon here in my area.He looked at my charts forwarded from my family dr and began to lecture right away that there were very few problems associated with saline implants and that most of what I was describing could happen with silicone implants but rarely with saline. He said that capsular contracture was very rare with saline as well. All of this being said before he even examined me.Upon examination he confirmed I had very bad capsular contracture in my right breast and the impalnts needed to be removed. He set a date for the surgery April 11 2006.He does not feel en bloc is neccassary with saline.I insisted it was very important to me.He seemed very reluctant. He also stated that though I would definately need a lift he would not preferom it until 6 months after explant as there was a high risk for tissue death if he did?????I really don't have much choice in surgeons at this point but I feel nervous any suggestions on how I should proceed from here to get the results I want?
