Guest guest
I drink pomegranite juice every day in my purple morning cocktail-- I mix it with a handful of frozen blueberries, blackberries and raspberries, organic milk and whey powder. Yum. I also add aronia juice, which purportedly has more antioxidants than pomegranites. Aronia juice is dark purple and rather tasteless(it isn't sweet), but is yummy mixed in with other things. I buy both juices at Trader Joe's for 3.99 a quart, way cheaper than POM. If there is a TJ's in Arizona, I would definitely stock up! Melinda P.S. I drink a green cocktail with lunch-- a little mixed veggie juice with Green Vibrance powder, ashitaba powder and tumeric. Tastes pretty yucky but heck, I'm going to chase out those toxins with whatever arsenal it takes. Melinda
Guest guest
Hi Melinda, I've read that turmeric is a good toxin flusher. Cilantro apparently is a good heavy metal detoxer as well. I bought some in capsule form (with a few other ingredients), but I haven't done much to flush my system except drink water because I didn't want to deal with any side effects while I was finishing up this semester at school. I've got a break coming up soon so that's when I'm going to begin a formal detox. I was drinking this green juice that contained a bunch of things, including spirulina - but I just saw that Dr. Kolb recommends not taking spirulina because I think it increases inflammation. I also went off the pill because my blood pressure suddenly shot up, so I stopped taking it and now I'm in hot flash city - I almost wonder if that's contributing to the return of my symptoms lately. Who knows, there are so many factors involved.
