I think I'm the only one on right now so I'll add this and the others

will tell the the real scoop later. Mine ruptured too so I had to have

them out. My pathology report had noted the tissue was whatever that

word means that says it is dead, I hated painful mammograms so I don't

know how long they were leaking...years maybe. They need to come out

right away. It is done as an out patient (or day surgery). There are

many experienced and helpful ladies at this site. Give them a chance

to get back to the postings and you will hear some needed advise.

Delores,

Welcome to Saline Support! I'm glad you found us and

are on your way to getting some answers!

I'm sure Kathy ly- can help you find a

Missouri surgeon too! . . .

<kkjohnston@...>

As far as having your implants removed, the recovery

is usually much easier than implant surgery. Some

women find their body feels relieved as soon as they

come out from under anesthesia.

As long as you've had your implants, you probably have

a host of issues to deal with though, so don't expect

to bounce back that quickly - but you should expect to

get your life back in time.

The key words in explant surgery is to find a doctor

who will remove your implants " en bloc " . . That means

removing the capsule with the implant still inside so

any fluid contained by the capsules stays there. You

probably have capsule material remaining from your

previous surgery. That should be removed too. Your

doctor should use drains to prevent a fluid buildup

that could result in pain or further surgery.

Chances are you have a systemic fungal/yeast

infection. . . Conventional docs are slow to treat for

this because the medications can cause liver problems.

While you might get a head start with a round of

Diflucan, you will need to continue treatment for an

indefinite period . . . Recommendations Fungal Defense

(one bottle), then Primal Defense for months. You can

get the best prices by going online to

www.appleadayandbeyond.com . . . Then phoning them on

their toll free number for a discount they give to

support groups. You must request the discount though.

You can check yourself for a systemic

fungal/yeast/Candida problem by spitting in a glass of

water the first thing in the morning, before putting

anything in your mouth. . . . Check after 15 minutes.

If the water is clear or just slightly cloudy, no

problem. If there's a milky blob floating with

tendrils hanging down, floating chunks, or a milky

blob sunken to the bottom, it indicates a problem.

This test is not scientific, but you'll find it tracks

well with treatment - and it's free!

As long as you still have your implants, you will just

be treading water, however, you will be in better

condition for surgery, and bounce back quicker

afterwards.

It's also essential that you follow a healthy diet. .

.. NO sugar! . . . avoid processed foods, refined

grains (whole grains are OK). Eat as organic as

possible. If you can't get organic, go for frozen.

" The Maker's Diet " by Rubin is an outstanding book

that tells you why you need to eat right, in addition

to providing a diet, recipes and sources.

I hope I'm not overwhelming you .. . We have a lot

more detox recommendations we can discuss. Just take

one step at a time. You can get overloaded - and feel

really bad from herxes as your body starts turning

lose of toxins that have been stored for so long.

If there's anything we can help you with, ask away! .

.. . You'll find many wonderful, sharp women here who

want to help you get through this experience.

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

Rogene, I've been wondering what the " spit test " was and just never

asked. I think I'll give it a try! Thanks for the explanation.
