I haven't seen her in the past 30 years on advice of my therapist. Best advice I ever took, as sad as that may sound. My heart goes out to you if your mother is a Queen Witch too. Yes, my therapist is not at all against no contact as long as nada is the way she is. Whenever I even possibly remotely think about contacting nada, therapist will say I can do that if I want, but I have to be prepared for nada to think everything is back to " normal " and have to start over again with all the boundary setting, blah blah. That's just too tiring for me. I will stick with no contact, I think, until I hear through the grapevine that nada is improving (I am in email contact with nada's therapist who also specializes in BPD like mine does) and nada's therapist has not re-contacted me about anything even though she mentioned she was going to recontact me. For one thing, I don't think the psychological tests have come in yet. Nada went to that therapist to take the test to PROVE she is NOT a borderline. hardee har har So I take this to mean nada's therapist is a-ok with me being no contact, also. Yes, it is kind of sad, but what can ya' do? Sometimes even " tough love " does not work on them - well, should I say plenty of times it doesn't work or most of the time it doesn't work? Last year my nada broke my house windows but she will not do that again since I called the police on her. In the beginning of your no contact with your nada did she attempt those types of things and then gradually gave up or ?? Lately my nada has gone INTO my best friend's van and INTO her house to leave notes to my friend, entering without permission. My friend is to annoyed about it and feels invaded.
