Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Share Posted December 9, 2005 hey everybody, for those of you who've taken the cipro/diflucan combo, about how long did it take you before you started feeling better? i know everybody is different but i started the meds on monday and though i don't feel quite as much pain in my chest, the improvement is slight at best. so i'm wondering if by the end of treatment in nine days am i really going to be any better. i sure don't want to have to take more cipro. that stuff is giving me all kinds of side effects, to the point i don't even want to be at home alone at night. i'm having some slight hallucinations, both visual and hearing people talking when nobody is there,seeing things jump out at me or thinking they are,no to mention ringing in my ears,etc. i'm just glad i'll be off of it by x-mas but i'll probably be a basket case by then too.anybody else experience hallucinations on cipro? Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Share Posted December 9, 2005 Cosima, I haven't taken that combination, but I'm wondering if the meds are more a primer for surgery, rather than making you feel a whole lot better now. Just to kill of the infection and the mold/yeast, and then get to the root of the problem which is the implants. You probably won't feel alot better until after the implants are out, so I don't know if I'd worry much about feeling better prior to surgery. The side effects of the Cipro sound pretty awful, though. This is all my very uneducated guess, but I don't know if anyone feels better until the implants are out. However, since yours are so severe, I'd suggest doing a web search for Cipro and " side effects " to see what shows up. Surely you're not the only person so affected! It was not just from Cipro, but any medication at the time, that was hard on the liver. Both Cipro and diflucan are hard on the liver.
