Guest guest
Kathie, I don't know if I welcomed you to the group . . . If not, please know that we're glad you found us. We've got an incredible group here and we'll see to it you find a doctor and get through this! Where do you live? . . . Maybe we can recommend a doctor you can count on who is near you! How you will look after surgery isn't as important now as getting those implants out so you can regain your health. Since you don't have any breast tissue left from your mastectomy, you won't have any breast left . .. . but it's likely your body will fill in any voids more than you anticipate. I'm going to send your message (without your name or address) to the FDA's implant spokeswoman, Leonard. The FDA needs to know that women are left high and dry by the plastic surgeons who contend that women need reconstruction following cancer for the sake of their self esteem! . . . WRONG! Also, you can fill out a MedWatch report to tell the government that your implants have caused you health problems. Since your doctor agrees, he shouldn't mind completing the form. . . You should have received a link when you joined the group, but if not, let me know. Please hang in there while we get things sorted out. You will get better - it make take time and patience, but we've seen it happen over and over and over! . . . Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Kathie - I am so sorry for all your pain and suffering. The women here are very experienced with implant sickness and in finding a PS who will take care of you. I had my explant six weeks ago, and I live near Philadelphia. Where do you live? Please just know that you are not alone and that not only do the women here at this site care and want to help, but God loves you and wants to help you too. I will pray for you that you find the support you need and can get those things out of you as soon as possible so that you can begin your journey back to health.
