Guest guest
Hi , After much searching I have found the answers to my high levels of Na/Mg in the hair analysis that I had done last year. It is the ratio of Sodium to Magnesium and mine was 8.39:1 (Range 2.08: - 6.25:1). It says the adrenal glands play an essential role in regulating sodium retention and excretion. Studies have shown that magnesium will affect adrenal cortical activity and response, and increased adrenal activity results in decreased magnesium retention. The sodium/magnesium profile is indicative of adrenal cortical function. These are the following symptoms : anxiety, muscle cramps, palpitations and increased perspiration. I don't know where to go from here - any suggestions ? The Dr who organised the hair analysis only siad that my mercury levels were very low (0.0001 and range < 1 ) and he wanted me back for further testing of mercury levels, but no mention of the high Na/Mg. Guest guest
You can get regular blood labs for sodium and potassium which tell you much the same thing. Low sodium to Potassium ratios also spell adrenal fatigue. So you know you have adrenal fatigue! It would be treated much the same as we have been recommending and the levels DO straighten out as you correct the low cortisol. -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
So do you decrease your Magnesium or increase your sodium? And if you did this would you need to take adrenal support? I'm wondering if this is part of my problem. Where would I get this analysis from? Guest guest
>>anxiety, muscle cramps, palpitations and increased perspiration. I don't know where to go from here - any suggestions ?<< As these were very similar to MY symptoms, I would say to not lower the sodium but maybe add magnesium. Have yo have blood levels of sodium and potassium tested? -- Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations The BEST thyroid website! http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
