Guest guest
Hello Everyone. I'm new to the group and would like to introduce myself. My name is and I'm 46 yrs old. I have 2 young children, ages 9 and 5. Recently my Fibromyaliga, which I had on and off for a few years used to be fairly mild, has become unbearable. This happened after I finished with a bad cold and bronchitis in December. I bought a whole bunch of books on FMS and discovered that Guafaisin will make your symptoms a lot worse. So that explains how come the FMS came on REAL REAL bad after the bronchitis, since I was taking Guafasin every day for 2 weeks. I still have really bad symptoms now though, and now I'm wondering if I should go back on it to eventually make me feel better? I'm curious how long that takes to feel better and if you have to stay on it...... If anyone has dosage recommendations for beginning, middle and end, that would be great. I thought the freezing cold weather was making it particularly painful, and was looking so forward to a trip to the Caribbean last week... only to discover my pain was just as bad, if not worse?! I cried I was so disheartened to find out that warm weather doesn't help. The hot tub helped but only WHILE you're in it... Still a few minutes of relief is better than nothing.... I am considering buying one for our home. It hurts for me to pull the covers in bed, or even turning the steering wheel. Between the arthritis in my fingers, and the FMS in my arm muscles it's so hard to manipulate anything. The other questions I have is how do I find a rheumatologist in my area who specializes in FMS? Also, how do you begin to explain to your boss what you're going through? Between the pain and the fibro fog, he thinks I just don't try to focus. I just don't know how much longer I can hold out (he does not know anything yet). Thanks for your help! Regards,
Guest guest
- Hi and welcome to our humble group!!! I'm k married 28 years and have two grown children Ty-26 and Tina 22 and a poster here too. We live in Iowa so the cold has made things unbarable..even if I don't go outside. Just opening the door to let the cat out/in can set off pain!! Sitting or laying too long also increases my pain. I would be easier to say what doesn't cause pain...LOL Now for your questions: #1 Guafaisin causing increased pain....never had that problem but when I'm sick and the fibro knocks on my door not even a triple lock can keep it out...LOL My question? Why would you want to go back on something that caused more pain??? I'd make sure I never took anything that had that in it again!! I don't think taking more would reverse the process but compound it. #2 finding a rheumatologist....the yellow pages...call and ask if they treat fibro before setting up an appt. I'm starting to see some advertising that they treat fibro!!! Good luck #3 You could sit him down and on a one-on-one tell him what is going wrong--at the rick of him finding a reason to fire you so he's not involved with a disability claim...which he would be anyway as SS goes over all you past work stations. Only you know your boss but he does need to know before things get worse and you get a 'pink' slip. Have on hand articles that explain a little about fibro so he can understand what you're going thru and GOOD LUCK !!! My disability was based on severe degenerative joint and disc disease. so the fibro when it hit only increased my disability. Sorry this is so long winded....lol believe me I don't talk this long. your friend, k >
