Guest guest
If you're having problems with your arms, why not just do cardio involving your legs and possibly some weights with your legs? No need to not exercise just because your arms are bothering you. There are tons of leg exclusive exercises out there. Guest guest
That is how i felt right before my surgery. It is what pushed me to go ahead and do it. Good news is I am 1 month post now and I feel wonderful. My energy is higher, pain and numbness gone and I can't wait to start working out again. I pray that you will feel the same as well! Hang in there...when is your surgery? Guest guest
When are you scheduled for explant? I think there are times when our bodies don't tolerate vigorous exercise well, where perhaps small doses might be better. This might be one of those times. Maybe you could just start off by putting healthy foods into your body to prepare it for surgery, drink alot of water, and go for short walks, until after your surgery. Guest guest
Jenna, what's your secret to feeling so good? I know our bodies are all different and heal at different rates, but I'm curious to know what you're doing because I might want to do the same thing! Are you taking Fungal Defense and Primal Defense, or are you just blessed to have recovered quickly? Sis > > That is how i felt right before my surgery. It is what pushed me to go > ahead and do it. Guest guest
I know, it's so hard to feel motivated to exercise when you feel tired and in pain. I used to be a long distance runner, did pilates, yoga, lifted weights, danced. Then I got sick and had to give it all up. The only thing I was able to do for a long time is take a daily 45 minute walk, and some days even that was agony. Not too long ago I started up the weights and simple yoga postures, but now I have to take a break again as I have only recently explanted. I look forward to getting back into real shape, but it will take awhile. Perhaps try and take some time to walk every day and then doing some stretching afterwards, maybe like a sun salutation yoga sequence or something else not too taxing. Walking is easy, will get you outside and get your circulation going and the stretching will help with the muscle pain. On better days you can walk at a brisker pace, on bad days you can just slow down. Remind yourself that you will get better and you will be able to do much more once you're explanted, but for now be nice to yourself, try to get in what you can. You'll feel better if you do, even though your body may be giving you mixed messages. It really needs exercise for so many things, including helping to flush out toxins, and helping with your mood. Hang in there! Melinda I am so discouraged I feel like I am getting fatter and more tired by the day.I know this sounds dramatic but I am so frustrated at this point.I have been trying to follow various excerise programs for the last 4 weeks and every thing seems so damned difficult since my arms keep going numb and are so painful.I was always active and fit in the past.I really want to exercize and get in shape, any suggestions?Should I just wait until explant? Guest guest
I have set short term and long term goals. My short term goal is no sugar and proper eating. I will go to the gym 3 x a week, even if it is exercising for only 10 or 15 minutes. I am keeping a journal. I want to view this as an accomplishment. For me, I will attend an OA meeting once a week, for support in losing weight. It is free and there is support. My long term goal is to lose the weight I gained and become fit. That looks overwhelming so I focus on what I can reaosnably do today. If I keep putting it off, I just go around in a circle. So concrete goals are important for me. > > I know, it's so hard to feel motivated to exercise when you feel tired and in pain. Guest guest
All I took was the perscriptions Kolb gave me after surgery (Diflucan and Cipro) I am finished with my dose. I know everyone is diff. but I have just been eating healthy and taking brisk walks and that is it. (I am going to start working out once I can...probably at 6 weeks) I am not going to do any type of detoxing if I don't need to. I feel so good now I am probably going to just stick with what I am doing. I hope that your body heals in time too! I feel so bad hearing that you are still struggling with things! Hang in there and i will keep you in my prayers! Guest guest
I took Keflex after surgery, but since Dr. Feng's theory is that it's the chemicals in the implants that made me sick, she didn't prescribe Diflucan. I can't take Diflucan anyway, because it puts me into hot-flash city for some reason - in fact that's when I went into a sudden menopause, after taking Diflucan. Of course the doctor insisted that it had nothing to do with that, however I had to take it a number of times for a while, and each time I took it I would have hot flashes and go into a temporary menopause. Then after six months, my period would come back, I'd get another yeast infection, take Diflucan, and back into the cycle I'd go. I asked my gyno for Nystatin suppositories, so now if I get a yeast infection I take that instead. I'm kind of curious to see if I tried Nystatin again, if I'd notice an improvement in my other symptoms. I wonder if the suppositories circulate throughout the body, or if I'd have to see if anyone would prescribe me pills. Nystatin seems to be one of those medications that has virtually no side effects, so I don't think it would hurt anything to give it a try. I do notice if I don't drink alot of water, my fingers start to ache. Guest guest
Sis, Nystatin, as well as Diflucan, can cause liver damage. That's why one MUST drink a lot of water when detoxing. The die-off of yeast organisms creates a toxic product that must be flushes ASAP . . . If you don't drink enough water, it can accumulate in the liver. Doctors should always tell you to eliminate sugar when taking these medications too . . . Unfortuately, they seldom do. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Sis, Not everyone deals with the same issues . . . Some women are sick from the bacteria in their implants, some from the fungal organisms. Some are sick from rejecting the implant materials. Unfortunately the doctors aren't interested in investigating the women who are sick from their implants to find out why! For anyone interested, they can participate in a study that want to discover why women get sick. York Clinic, formerly in New Orleans, now in St. Louis, is undertaking a study that is free for participants. Only women who have not been explanted yet, and plan to be explanted, are eligible. If anyone is interested, contact dpettitt@.... Many women have fungal problems . . . all benefit from a excedllent diet and exercise, both before and after explant. Hugs and prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
What an interesting reaction to Diflucan. I wonder if it has something to do with its reaction with your liver. Diflucan is very hard on the liver. Your liver also metabolizes your hormones so perhaps the Diflucan is really affecting your liver, causing the hot flashes.
