Hi ,Your observations have me wondering if this extra heat has something to do with headache and brain-fog, as I'm experiencing that too.(for me it's behind and above my right ear and thoughts of 'tumor' haunt me in the late afternoon.) Fortunately, I have other herx symptoms, so I'm not alarmed...yet. When it gets really hot, to be honest, I'm more apt to break discipline and cheat on foods that probably make things worse. It takes some days sometimes to restore balance, I think.I have a rigorous hydration routine, but suspect that extreme heat can tip the balance, in hydration, electrolytes, and thus, herx discomfort. We may even increase our hydration to meet the heat's demands, but then we pass off more of our electrolytes, getting cramps, fatigue and sudden lapses in energy.I think you're wise to back off killing and increase detoxing. I've decreased Rifing but have stuck to my regular S & C routine, (perhaps I should back off even more).I hope your pressure lets up soon. It can be scary, I know.Be well,LénaHi all, wondering if you all have some suggestions. I have had a (rather) sudden increase in brain fog the last week. It is only in the top half and front half of my brain. (The eyes up and half way back.) The pressure is awful and so severe that it is effecting my vision.I've increased my detoxing today, and am not killing anything today, but there is no relief.I'm so bummed.Best,

LOL - I wish it were heat Lena. I wish I could embed a pic of what I see out my window right now. It's about 60 and raining.  We get a day or two of sun, then back to grey.I will take some electrolytes in about 30 minutes. I just took some L-Ornithine (sublinqual), so I thought I'd see if that helps.

I really think it is from inflammation because when it eases my vision improves. I don't know about everyone else, but my brain fog is almost exclusive in the front. Rarely all over.

Best,

Hi ,

Sorry this is happening to you...

I get this from time to time, not sure why and it does seem to clear...

If you have increased MMS doses lately, kick back some... Drink more water..

I am recently dealing with bad headaches, something I don't normally get in the

summer..

I think these brain things are all a part of Lyme...

Cut back on all your killing protocols, see if

this helps... Could be you just are a bit behind on detoxing..

This will clear, detox, detox, detox...

Take care,

Jim

Hi ,Actually, today I felt even worse and the temp had finally dropped (though barometric pressure also dropped). Are you in the Northwest? In the course of Lyme recovery, i've noticed that every so often, all bets are off; that things get out of balance, and it takes a while to sort out just what was going on. It's happened to me 3, maybe 4 times, and it can be discouraging, because once you're feeling lousy, it's even harder to do the sleuthing necessary to get back on track!Hope things come 'round right soon.Be well,LénaLOL - I wish it were heat Lena. Thanks all for you kind suggestions. Here's what I am beginning to think. I've been feeling rather crummy the last two weeks (lots of bug killing). So that means I sit around more and slouch more.  I think maybe I've sent my neck, and therefore head muscles into spasm.  Not sure though.

I did a bit of a head massage a couple of hours ago and laid down to nap for an hour. Got up and felt pretty good, now it's coming back. My upper back, neck and shoulders are hurting. I'm slouching into the pain, and of course, it's tightening up in my forehead.  Time will tell, but I need to get back to my P.T. exercises.

I'm sure extra toxins aren't helpful to our muscles staying relaxed. And my muscles have seen extra weak this last week.Ahhhh, one thing or another.

Best,

,I am experiencing exactly the same thing! It's can be really trying. I find I get an hours relief with the far infra red sauna. This is the only thing that seems to work for me. I also make a shake with omega 369, greens, chlorella and supplements. This seems to help a little too. My heart is with you! :)Warmest, juli

Thanks Robin.I don't eat seafood - well, rarely a piece of kosher fish. Plus, I gave up nightshades 10 days ago - something I recommend every give a try.Oh, it's weird, but I did have tuna two days in row, but that was over a week ago. Other than that, maybe a piece of fish every three months.

Hi Jodie L,

One of the best detoxers is water... Drink, drink, drink as much as you safely

can...

Also do deep breathing exercises, we expel toxins through our lungs..

Glucomannan is a good inexpensive toxin binder... This is typically taken

1 hr before meals, start with with b/f each meal, scale up to two...

http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SW1163/ItemDetail

Here are a few good basic detoxes...

Detox basics:

Those with chronic illnesses should drink 1/2 (or more) their body weight in

OUNCES of

filtered or distilled water daily... This is one of the best detox methods...

Bm's - you should strive to have 2 - 3 bm's daily.... This is so important, but

don't take laxatives to accomplish this... Instead, take extra Vitamin C or

magnesium to bowel tolerance... It takes some practice, but is doable.

Deep breathing... Many toxins are expelled with deep breathing...

Sweating - Do some exercises daily and or use a FIR sauna or Bio Mat that cause

you to sweat... Exercising outside in the sun is even better as you will sweat

easier and you will capture some much needed Vitamin D.

What you are feeling is unfortunately common, I am dealing with some tough

headaches

right now, I just slow down on my killing, up my detoxing... These always pass..

Do you have a sauna? If no, would you like to build one for $90? No tools

necessary!

Just let me know if you want to know how! Sauna's are excellent for detoxing...

Take care,

Jim

Hi everyone,Thank you so much for so many suggestions. I will be putting some of them to work. I am more and more convinced that it is muscles spasms.  I stretched and stretched and got some relief, then I sat and just felt my muscles tightening up. They tightened so tight that when I turned by head I could hear/feel my neck discs crunching.

I have increased my magnesium and am returning to my prior PT exercises for my neck. (Which has given me all kinds of issues over the years). Not sure why I didn't recognize it sooner.

Weakness, means floppy neck and poor posture, which leads to muscle spasms for me.Jim, LOL about your comment. I'll pass on the word to my DH. I'm sure he'll be happy to oblige ;-)  Massage only helps if I do the exercises to strengthen.

I'll pick up some gluccomannan. Most of my binders are also chelators. And thanks for the prayers. Those are always welcome.Best,

Hi ,The neck could definitely make startling pains in the head. I was told this after noticing brief, stabbing pains behind my ear that the doc said were common nerve pinches from neck issues. Your mention of posture yesterday reminded me of a simple ergonomic trick:When you're sitting, place enough of a cushion under your tail-bone so that the angle of your thighs to knees is downward, rather than level or upward. This will automatically force your spine straighter and won't encourage the 'round-back' position which is so detrimental to the neck. Instead of your shoulders falling forward, they'll be square, and will support your neck better, too.Be well,LénaHi everyone,Thank you so much for so many suggestions. Increase of symptoms - seeing stars !?So, I really, really thought the headache was all neck and muscle related. Well, my muscles were as tight as a trampoline, but that has eased with massage, stretching, exercise, etc. The rest of my body is feeling OK (even better than normal), but this darn headache is persistent. My vision is still blurred and yesterday, I was seeing spots a few times. Didn't think much about it, but it just happened again while we were sitting eating dinner.  Not liking this symptom at all.

Thoughts?Think I'll go take my BP, but it's usually low or normal.

BP normal 120/76Put " seeing stars " in google. After wading through all the Hollywood stuff, I found this:

Answer:  " Seeing stars " is a common visual complaint, but it is usually a normal and harmless occurrence. If you close your eyes and rub them, you will probably see spots and flashes of light. These images you see are called " phosphenes, " an entoptic phenomenon characterized by the experience of seeing light without light actually entering the eye. Phosphenes are produced by pressure on the eyes. The pressure is translated into various patterns by the optic nerve.

These stars, or spots of light, that you see can occur after a sneeze, a deep cough, a blow to the head or low blood pressure (such as standing up too quickly).

Some people see flashes or lines of light that often last up to 10 to 20 minutes. These flashes of light are generally caused by a spasm of blood vessels in the brain, called a  " migraine. " If a headache follows the flashes, it is called a " migraine headache. " If these flashes or lines of light occur without a headache, it is called an " ophthalmic migraine, " or migraine without a headache.

Increase of symptoms - seeing stars !?So, I really, really thought the headache was all neck and muscle related.
