Evening ladies and gent (Len you lucky guy you!)

We had our Christmas party/lunch today with my company and it was

interesting to say the least!

First...I HAVE to get a holiday outfit--NOW. I have 4 different

things in my closet and not a single one fits--they're all too

freaking BIG! Which is a good thing but not when you're up at 10:30

the night before a shindig trying to find something that fits! I

finally ended up wearing this great skirt I have had for a yr--it's

red satin with a black lace overlay that kind of trails. That and a

black shirt to hide the fact the skirt was too big! But guess who

needed an emergency pin during the luncheon??! OMG...I was getting

ready to stand up and my skirt had slid down!!!!!!! So needless to

say that one gets to be given away or maybe consigned. Sigh..one of

my favorite things too! My dad and stepmother are taking us out

Saturday night and I have nothing to wear! Plus I plan to partayyyyyy

Christmas night at a club so I've got to have something new! LOL

This is my first Christmas with my new job, and it was fun! My

coworkers are a bunch of lushes, God love em, but it wasn't too bad.

I got a LOT of compliments from people I see hit and miss who haven't

seen me lately. Made me blush--one of my workout buddies was like

you're getting to be a HOTTIE! Ever see a black woman blush? LOL

They had a comedian as entertainment, and during one joke he was

making some " gang signs " and I was cracking up! And he said to me and

the other Black girl who was laughing at my table " don't make fun of

the white guy trying to be cool " --which made me laugh even more! He

moves onto another joke and I am STILL LAUGHING and he's like

damn--she's still laughing at me from 2 jokes before! Which made

EVERYONE look and made me laugh even harder. My coworkers were like

he sooooooo busted you out and I'm just laughing--and for the first

time in years felt that being the center of attention was a GOOD

THING! I've always hid and tried to not be " seen " at these types of

functions and for the first time in a long time did not even care that

everyone was looking--and smiling!

The last thing of the day that made me feel even BETTER was going to

the gym. My coworkers were like you're kidding....dang you're

dedicated! LOL. As I was walking in this guy was kind of checking me

out--and as I walked past he TURNED HIS HEAD TO CHECK OUT THE BACK!!!!

Wooooooooooooohooooooooooo! I just smiled and kept walking and felt

like a million billion freaking dollars! I haven't been " checked out "

in ages and lately it's been happening a lot. Saturday night I went

dancing with my friend and she was like girl...that guy's checking you

out! I was like what are you talking about? So she says he's looking

again and he's smiling--so I turn around and there is a cute guy who

IS checking me out and grinning! Holy moly! It's taking a lot of

getting used to--there are times when I look in the mirror and think

" who's that lady behind me " ...and it's ME!

Anyway...my bootay's dragging still from last night's aerobics

hell--er class and I only did 30 minutes on the treadmill cause I am

whipped! But I had to share :)

I have been chatting to two gentlemen over the internet that wish to

meet in real life and I keep putting them off. I hated my body before

surgery- now with the skin issues starting I feel even more insecure

about it. I feel skinnier on top and still big on the bottom. I think

they look at the face in the picture which looks like it could fit on a

skinner body and think the rest of the body matches it. I am built like

a pyramid. Tiny on top and ever widening as you get to the bottom.

Just that fear of rejection ringing loud and clear in my head. I guess

it would be different if a man in real life approached me. Chatting

over the internet they get a differnt image than what I think I am in

real life. What to do- what to do. Might have to bite the bullet and

meet one tomorrow after work. Maybe he will chicken out?

If the guy is there close by...stop putting him off! Consider this:

maybe he's afraid of what HE'S going to look like to YOU!

I should be wondering what was I thinking?! But you know how you're

in a zone? Well I was muttering to myself about what to get this

wonderful lady and not even thinking of trying to be cute! LOL

and ran ahead and held the door open for you! Offered to carry your

school books all the way home for you... lol!
