Guest guest
, Arnica and silicea are not the same thing. They are two different homeopathics. Arnica is for bruising and muscle soreness. Silicea is for many things, including fatigue and weakness. However, one of our members recently stated that she had success using silicea for her hair loss. That was the first positive thing I'd heard about anyone getting a handle on it. If you do an internet search for silicea and hair loss, you will find more info about using this homeopathic, as well as others. This webpage lists some: http://www.bighealth.net/alternative/homeopathy/hair_loss_homeopathy.ht m Homeopathics are relatively cheap, so I hope this helps you. I wish I knew what to tell you regarding your hairloss issues that would work for sure. I know it has to be terribly upsetting. It could be so many things though....hormones, heavy metal toxicity, mineral imbalances, vitamin deficiencies, immune system illnesses, thyroid...it is really hard to figure this one out. It has been the one problem area that we have had very little success with in knowing how to fix it. For many women, it is something they learn to work through, and hopefully as they heal, it gets much better. God bless you , Patty > > Help........... Guest guest
, When I do a liver cleanse, I usually fast that first day. But I would not fast for a long period of time and do a liver cleanse. I am assuming that you are talking about the olive oil/grapefruit juice liver cleanse. You can use other liver supportive therapies as well--there are many things you can do from home. Let me know if you need some more ideas, or if you are comfortable with the liver cleanse you are doing. Have you done one before? Patty > > Help........... Guest guest
Have you seen a dermatologist and have you had a hormone panel done yet? Hair loss can be from medications, stress like surgery or death in the family and the number one cause is hormones. You need to know the cause of the hair loss in able to find a solution that will work for you. Look back in your family both your mother and father sides and see if there is any possiblity of it being hereditary. As long as you are stressed your hair loss may continue especially if you had surgery in the past year. I am dealing with hair loss as well and I have learned quite a bit from going to so many doctors. Yes I have my implants in still and will be having them out sometime next year when we have the money, I was told my implants were a likely casue of my hair loss but I have also had stress that was not typical to normal everyday stress and since I have got he stress under control the hair loss has slowed down a lot. I still believe my implants are a large contributor to it but not the sole contributor. I know how depressing this is, I truly hope you find the solution you are seeking. HUGS, > > Help........... Guest guest
Thyroid disease is a big cause of hair loss. And I believe autoimmune thyroid disease is just one of the many autoimmune problems that implants can cause. > > > > > > Help........... Guest guest
Hi, Regarding the thyroid issue- Once you had the implants out did you see any difference with thyroid? Is that possible? I was told that my thyroid is now non functioning and am on medication. I had the implants removed about seven weeks ago. Do you know if it is possible to reverse the condition? Wouldn't that be something? I pull my hair out in handfuls, it's all over my clothes, the floors, but I have a lot of hair so it's not noticable to others (except that they are always " helping " me by lifting strays off of me!) I'll call my doctor, but my primary really is my GYN, what specialty might this be, anyone know? > > > > > > > > > > Help........... Guest guest
Charlotte, My thryoid got better to the point I didn't need medication for years. Now, however, my TSH is slowly climbing and the goiter they scanned recently is termed " multi-nodulal " . I expect I'll have to go back on thryoid one of these days. I've resumed losing a small amount of hair. When I mention that, doctors laugh at me though. I used to have extremely thick hair. It's still thick (for my age) at half the amount. Guest guest
Hi. I just found and posted ingredients for something that used, DSF by Nuti West. Do you know if it is similar to Amica? Did you have to take Amica everyday all these years? And if will be taking DSF everyday forever. I might as well keep taking the Rx if it is going to start up again, those are covered by our insurance. Do you know if your thyroid was ever considred " non functioning " ? The doctor who told me that was in CA where we used to live, and was kind of a friend. She many times used phrases that weren't actually medical with me, so I don't know if it is any more deteriorated than others or if she was just talking. I just hate the idea of taking pills every day of my life. Maybe it's just unavoidable. I'll keep trying, thanks for the input. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Help........... Guest guest
OK, DSF by Nuti West, where did you get it? Can it be purchased on line? That is pretty much where I get everything. BTW, does anyone take Red Rice Yeast. I have three bottles that I cannot take, brand new, not out of date, would sell them for a lot less than they cost me. Guest guest
Charlotte, I don't know that anyone's thyroid that is " non-functioning " ever comes around. When someone has thyroid cancer, the gland is radiated to make it non-funtioning. That means permanent thyroid supplementation. It seems that one of the problems that may be left over after all the other implant problems are gone are thyroid problems though. However, until someone cares enough about studying the woman made ill from breast implants, we'll never know! At least, it's worth considering and staying on top of.
