Sis - I like the boobie trap name for your book too - funny!

Just hang in there eating healthy and drinking lots of water - I'm

doing the same thing. It's just got to pay off sooner or later. If it

encourages you, as bad as I was feeling a week or two ago, I'm a lot

better right now - even just got back from a two mile jog.

I think that our husbands can say we're beautiful 20 times, and say a

stupid comment one time, we can't let that one stupid comment go, can

we? I'm the same way. I think I could tell you every stupid thing my

husband has ever said to me and never seem to forget them like I do the

good things. I always think, well, that must be how he really feels,

right? Ugh!

Hugs,

Cherie

Cosima - yes, I intended the pun - but I didn't even think about the

name for the book, and that actually is pretty funny!! We may as

well find humor in it somehow, and if a funny title gets people's

attention, that's even better.

Cherie - I was feeling discouraged yesterday, I know it's only a

month after the surgery, but I too was feeling worse lately, but I

believe it's because my symptoms cycle with my hormonal cycle. I

feel better during the day and then at night everything acts up. I

also feel better when I drink more water, and some days I don't do

that. I need to get a bottle to take with me to school, that's when

I find it hardest to drink water. I do have this underlying fear

that I've messed my body up for life. What a fool I was to take a

chance with the implants.

Yesterday I went to see this herbalist who I visited many years ago

when I had a health issue. I tried this " voice bio " technique,

which involved speaking into a microphone that somehow worked with

computer software in determining what areas in my body need help.

My problem areas were Adrenals, Circulation and Candida turned out

high. Don't know if it's good information or not, but I thought I'd

give it a try. This woman has been in business for a long time, and

she's 80 years old and looks incredible, and her business is

thriving. She recommended more products than I was willing to try,

though, I want to keep it simple. I did leave with a Heavy Metal

Detox product (Nature's Sunshine is the brand) which contains

Cilantro, and I've read Cilantro is great for liver detox (I wonder

how much fresh cilantro you'd have to eat to equal what's in the

capsules, sometimes I'd rather just get these things from food than

from a pill). I have yet to order the Garden of Life products but

I'm going to do that over the weekend.

Sis

I pretty much carry a bottle of water with me everywhere I go - has

become a habit - better one than some of my old ones (like smoking -

now I think eewww!!). Whenever I think I may have messed myself up

for life, I think well, God allowed me to get those implants in the

first place, and my relationship with him has grown so much because

of my illness, I have taken the time to learn to eat healthy and

take care of myself that I might otherwise not have done, and

another thing, I have gotten to know you girls here in the support

group. Even though the circumstances that brought us together were

bad, I consider it such a blessing that we have had this

opportunity. So sometimes pain and suffering brings about good

things. The Bible says it produces perserverence and character, and

it is just so true.

I haven't heard of the voice bio technique,but I was seeing a

chiropractor who did muscle testing and could tell if your arm went

weak when he touched a certain area whether or not you had a

problem. I would leave with soooo many expensive supplements. I do

believe that he believes in what he is doing, I am just not as

convinced. I was feeling so much worse when I was going to him -

that could mean it was working though, right? Right now I am

feeling better with gentle detox - I'm going to step up one stair at

a time instead of loading myself with a bunch. I do have to decide

what's next - I know I need fish oil, but not sure what else, like

primal defense, or a multivitamin. There has been so much good

advice that I don't know where to start. My work is really slow

right now, and I feel kind of guilty spending a lot of money on

supplements.

Anyway, you are going to get better, but in the meantime, try to

focus on the wonderful blessings of your current situation. You are

a great encouragment for me, and I know for many of the new girls

coming to the group.

Thanks, Cherie. I appreciate it. I agree with you, one door opens

another, even if the original door brings about something bad, the

next door is something great - such as you and everyone on this

site. I need to do gentle detox, too, because my body never liked

being loaded up with supplements, and it likes it even less now.

Talk to you soon, off to school I go!! We'll see what the weather

brings tomorrow, we're supposed to get dumped on with snow, but ya

never know.

Sis,

You're right on when you decided to take it slow and

easy with the detoxing. You may end up with a bunch of

supplements, or you may not. But, if you'll go slow

and easy, you'll know when something is helping you,

or when it's finished its job.

Your body will thank you for the rest of your life!

Rogene

Thanks, Rogene. I sure hope it thanks me, I am looking forward to

that day! It's snowing here in NJ, so I don't have to be anywhere -

and I'm going to try my first epsom salts bath, and drink alot of

water!! One thing I'm wondering, the epsom salts don't irritate any

sensitive parts of the body? I'm suseptible to infections and was

just curious.

This morning I woke up on my stomach, for the first time in 7 months.

I told my husband and he was wondering why this was significant, and I

said it was uncomfortable laying on my stomach with the implants - it

was like laying on two baseballs. Then since the explant my chest has

been a little tender, but it's feeling better now.

Hi, I am pretty sure that epsom salts won't irritate you when used

in the bath. I have never had a problem with it. I did find that

when I added hydrogen peroxide it was irritating to me. However,

many people find adding hydrogen peroxide to be very good for herxes!
