" wacky weed " LOL! Too funny!

Too bad I absolutely cannot drink. I honestly think it's part of the

adrenal thing. For years now, if I have even a small amount of

alcohol, I get this horrendous pain in my upper chest/shoulders

(feels like it's in my bones) and I have to start drinking lots of

water to get it to subside. Really odd. I did read somewhere though

that AF can cause alcohol intolerance.

Amped up, huh? Wow...can't wait LOL. Like heart racing and shakes?

How long does this go on? Did you feel horrid the day after?

The surgery is for an ovarian tumor (aka dermoid cyst). Dr. found it

last December and we did a repeat ultrasound in late February which

showed it had grown (size of small orange). They are worried that if

it doesn't come out, it can twist my ovary (exteme pain & emergency

surgery) or it could rupture & the contents could cause tumors

wherever it " lands " . I know...pretty gross. I was hoping for

a 'through the belly button' surgery, but it's too big...so he will

have to do the major abdominal type (also so he can see my other

ovary).

I get so frustrated because it shouldn't be this hard for patients to

get diagnosed & treated for this! I already knew the potential

issues with surgery & AF...but then the other day, out of nowhere, I

had a flashback of when my Mom had her ovary removed in 1982 and she

almost died from shock (BP 50/40) and they couldn't understand why.

It was a pure " ah ha! " moment. Based on how she always felt/acted I

think she had the same issues that I do, including adrenal fatigue.

So, the idea of the surgery worries me even more now. If I can get

my D.O. to agree and put me on HC, I'll feel much better about it!

Thanks for the info and the laughs :)

Joy,

The amped up feeling was the worst during the test and for a couple of

hours after. YOu have to wait around in a waiting room for an hour

after they inject the stuff and I brought a bunch of homework to work

on, but just couldn't concentrate. I spent it pacing around, starting

at the clock, annoying the nurses, that kind of thing. I had a hard

time getting to sleep that night. I don't remember feeling

particularly bad the next day, but I was feeling generally lousy

during that time anyways so it was hard to tell.

Good luck with the surgery. I'm glad you're making sure your adrenals

will be supported through it. I had the belly button surgery to

remove an smaller ovarian cyst the size of a golf ball last year. It

was making my ovary twist and it was sooooooo painful. It took me

about a week to recover fully, the fun part was realizing that I had

become addicted to the vicodin they kept me pumped full of while

putting off the surgery for two months. But after I got through it all

I felt ever-so-much better. Hope you will too.
