Guest guest
Hi All, Some of you might remember that I was friends with someone who had implants for 20 years, and her daughter got them a little over a year ago. This woman was very encouraging when I was thinking about getting implants, in fact when she told me she and her daughter both had them and had no problems, I wanted to look into it as well. Then after I had my surgery and started having problems she bailed. I had actually told her about this support group and she said " oh, man, you really buy into this crap pretty easily, don't you " ? I e-mailed her and told her I was having them explanted, and I told her why, and she eventually responded saying I knew my body and to do whatever I thought was best. She called today and asked how the surgery went, and we talked a while. She mentioned that her daughter developed an allergy to orange dye after she got her implants. Not exactly sure how she came to that conclusion, maybe foods or drinks, or clothing that are orange. Anyway, I do think she bailed because she felt bad about promoting implants, and probably worried about her own daughter, and maybe just didn't want to face it. I hope her daughter doesn't develop any other problems - but if she does I will certainly help her. Sis
