Guest guest
hi surf_111: i'm relatively new also. what i can say is that joining these groups (in addition to your hard work and focus) is a great step towards your success. it's nice to chat with folks who are going through the same things in BFL (or who have already gone through and conquered things in BFL) because you will be amazed at the advice you will receive. welcome and i look forward to reading your posts... best of luck: naturalhighfit ------------------------------------------------------------------- > hello everyone i've just joined your group and i wanted to say hi i > just started body for life and i was wondering if anyone had any > ideas for success other than hard work and focus they might like > to share thanks

Guest guest
You have identified that you need to do something. The next thing you need to do is change your attitude about food and exercise. Since you've read Body for Life and still need some additional motivation, I'd recommend checking out Tom Venuto's website http://www.fitren.com Also read the ariticle in his recent newsletter I'M NOT REAL BIG ON EXERCISE. CAN I LOSE WEIGHT WITH DIET ALONE? http://www.fitren.com/res3ask.cfm?compid=18 & qaid=178 You could also consider hiring a personal trainer. I know there are other BFLers in Chicago and when I was a member of their Yahoo group, it was an active group http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/bodyforlifechicago2/ Andy > > Hi all, Bill from the Chicagoland area here and new to the group. > > 34 - 5' 10 " - 215 lbs - 31% body fat. > > Current Situation: Live the bachelor lifestyle.... Guest guest
Hi Bill, I know you don't want to enter the official challenge, but I still would recommend taking some before shots as they are an excellent motivational tool!! When I took mine, I was already ready to make the change and had a good amount of motivation, but those before shots... man oh man... it really hit me HARD how much I had let myself go when I looked at those. You don't realize it just looking in the mirror every day as you do looking at an actual photo. So that is my suggestion for motivation.
