Hi everyone!

I am alive and well. Thank you all so much for your well wishes and

concern!

Thanks Mizz Carol F for your phone message. Sorry I caused you

concern. Ditto to Melody!

A big THANK YOU to our newbie Len aka alfie for his OH post about my

surgery! Wow! It gave me a big warm and fuzzy to open my Inbox and

read all the supportive emails from people who signed my surgery

page.

Surgery was unremarkable but I stayed overnight because of a minor

complication. They kept me in the recovery room until long into the

evening waiting for an order to admit me. I see the doctor today at

1 pm to find out the disposition and course of future medical

treatment.

I wasn't discharged until very late yesterday because the doctor was

waiting for the results of my blood tests. My friend Sharon had to

bring me a pair of exercise pants to wear home since I was swollen

and couldn't get my jeans on. I refused to wear a hospital gown out

of the hospital! Blech!

My very special friend is in town on his way home from Chicago. We

did get to spend some time together and I was ambulatory long enough

to go shopping with him at South Coast Plaza to buy my birthday

present. He bought me a gorgeous necklace from 's. We went

next door to Nordy's and toasted with Latte's! He remembered what

happened when I tried to drink in Vegas so we stuck to something a

bit less benign. He is now getting ready to depart for Wayne

Airport for his flight back to SFO.

Again, many thanks for your concern and well wishes!!!

Thanks Kathy!!! I am so ready for holiday although sitting on a

plane for 13 hours doesn't thrill me.

Robyn, SO glad to hear from you! Hope you are feeling better soon and the tests

come out well. You have definitely had lots of people thinking about you and

hoping everything went well.

Ooh, a present from 's? Nice!

The mistletoe is sewn on the topside of the shorts, not inside. So no,

they're not scratchy. When I wear these shorts under pants, it emphasizes my

lower area, if you know what I mean! LOL ((((hugs))))) Have a nice

weekend! Len
