I had saline implants which they told me it was safer boy were they wrong I have learned so much about breast implants after the fact it took me to get sick and the doctors could not find it. They fail to tell us how toxic they really are and the bible also says not to put anything foreign in your body. Its your choice to get breast implants but if you chose do to so and you will eventually get sick over the time period everyones body is different but you will get sick from these things in your body because of the material they are made out of first of all and our bodys reject these things because God did not intend for these things to be in there. All of here are trying to get better but thats another thing you have to look at I had saline implants in for 6 months and got them out because of deterioration of my body it got sick so fast and no one knew what it was I have been sick a year. Think about it takes longer to heal than the time you have them in. Not to mention the money factor of trying to get better. It only takes a few thousand dollars to put them in and it takes many more to get better times 10. Love and God guide you in the right path. from Ohio
Guest guest
Yenny I am not sure of your motivation for getting the implants, but I am sure they are not worth the risk. I got them because I am so very very flat. However, I never liked the way they looked. Yea, I looked better in my clothes but they looked fake. Even with implants I was only a 34B. But I had breasts! However they were rounded on top and from the side instead of my breast sloping down slightly, it actually humped up. I thought it looked like someone had stuck a ball on my chest. I could always feel them and they were uncomfortable and I was always trying to push them around because it hurt under them. Then after several years, I started getting sick. I was finally diagnosed with connective tissue disease with lupus and scleroderma symptoms. I thought I was dying. I have spent several thousand dollars on trying to get well. Many women are so sick of their implants that when they finally get them out they are happy to have their small, soft, natural breasts back. Many women who got implants because they were sagging, would have been fine with just a lift, but the ps talked them into implants instead. Sure there are women out there with implants that don't appear to be sick. And maybe they aren't--yet. Even if they never get sick, there is no way to predict who will get sick and who won't. If you get sick, it will ruin your life. I guarantee it. If you are healthy now, don't take the chance. We have too many women on this site that were perfectly fine until they got implants. Even after you get them out, there is no guarantee that you will get your health back. Most women improve, many dramatically. But most would admit that they have to walk a fine line to stay well when they never did before. In my opinion, the advantages aren't worth the risk. Please use your money to go on a nice vacation instead. Hugs, Kathy > > Hello ladies, > I am currently considering saline implants, but was researching for > pros and cons and found this group. Guest guest
Yenny, I'm glad that you have been researching this with your eyes wide open, some people want to believe that implants are safe and are so fixated on getting them, that they don't want to know about the problems. The pro-implant sites will tell you that implants are safe and that anyone who has gotten sick would have gotten sick anyway, but that isn't true. I got saline implants 7 months ago, and 1 month ago I had them removed. Getting implants was the biggest mistake I have ever made in my 45 years on this earth (and I've made quite a few mistakes!) Within a few weeks of getting the imlants, my immune system started reacting. First I had heartburn for a few days, followed by sore lymph nodes and this anxious feeling, followed by swollen joints, then numb fingers and toes, then a terrible headache, then my normally low blood pressure became high. Also the veins in my fingers throbbed, I had muscle pain in my arms, and my feet ached. Aside from all the health issues, once I got the implants I thought it just wasn't worth it. Before the surgery it seems like it's going to make such a difference, but I hated them. It wasn't worth the money, and it sure wasn't worth compromising my health. I went from an A to a C, and I found I was trying to hide them more than anything else. I had great self-esteem before the surgery and my small breasts didn't bother me, I just got caught up in the hype and that was that. I had the same voice in my head as you - something nagging at me telling me it might not be a good choice, but I ignored the voice. My counselor recently asked me what I learned from all of this, and I told her the lesson I learned was to listen to that voice, because all of my fears (and then some) were realized when I had the implant surgery. It has been a nightmare, only I can't wake up from it because it's really happened. I had tunnel vision 3 years ago and nothing would stop me from getting them! I wouldn't have believed anyone if they would have told me that 3 years down the road I would be spending the Christmas holidays recovering from having them removed! I have my surgery this Friday. I am nervous and would rather put this money towards a new car that my whole family can enjoy! Before I even made the connection that it was the implants were making me sick, my friend and I were talking and we both agreed that if we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't. They are uncomfortable, you can see them through your skin, sensation is lost and always in the back of your mind, you wonder if they are going to leak or deflate. Heaven forbid you get in a wreck! Lying on your stomach comfortably is a thing of the past. My health is now an issue. My family and friends want me to healthy. Why risk all of these things happening to you? God made you perfect the way you are. Don't change! I hope this helps! Ginger
Guest guest
Hi Ginger, Good luck this coming Friday, I will be thinking of you. I'm 5 weeks post-explant now, and so happy to be rid of them. Do you have to travel to get them removed? Guest guest
Thanks so much! I do have to travel approximately 5 hours to Dallas. I live in Northwest Arkansas. We will have our car there so we'll have some freedom. How are you? I am a little anxious. I really don't know what to expect. I just know I need to get them out!!!! Guest guest
Ginger, we drove about 6 or 7 hours from New Jersey to Ohio. The explant surgery was so much easier than the implant surgery. It wasn't completely pain free, however it was manageable - and I was surprised at how little pain I had once I got past the first day. The drains weren't a big deal either, I found them kind of interesting. Plus I appreciated them because I knew they were part of the reason why I wasn't in much pain, because I wasn't swelling up. The day after surgery, my husband and I took an all day drive around the state of Ohio, and then went out to dinner. I'm not saying I wasn't on the weak side or tired, but I was ok to sit in the car and see the sights. I sent my husband home on Wednesday (I had the surgery Monday) and I rented a car and drove myself home on Friday. I've had some good days and some bad days since the surgery, some symptoms have gone away and others are a little more stubborn, but it is such a relief to have those timebombs out of my body. I'm glad I only had them in 6 months, but they made me sick so quickly that I knew I'd just keep getting worse if they stayed in me any longer. Guest guest
Sis, That is such encouraging news about what you were able to do after surgery. I am sorry not everything is 100%. I guess it takes the body some time to get all of the toxins out. You were so smart to get them out after only 6 months. The more I find out, there are many women out there that have had them removed for various reasons. I am so thankful to have women like all of you that are so supportive. My body started telling me things were not right approximately a month or so after implantation. I had the hives. I have just covered them up by antihistamines for the past 3 years. My mouth ulcers have been harder to ignore. Now I am to the stage that in the evening, I feel very achey, like I am coming down with the flu. My body just gets run down a lot faster than it used to. Did you get your medical records from your implanting surgeon before you went to Ohio? I thought about getting them in case I need it for reference. Guest guest
There are so many things that lead me to get breast implants but the sad thing was all the ladies on the other implant sites never told me the whole rtuth about implants, they don't feel real and they can't because they're not. I can't sleep on my tummy any longer. I have people make rude comments and give rude looks all the time NOT the type of attention I wanted. All I wanted was to have a shape and not look like a little girl, I was a A/B cup depending on the bra and they were small but perky and pretty. I had a lot of self esteem issues I thought implants would help however I am actually worse now and hate my figure more. The first three years of having implants was great and no one could have told me that there was a single thing wrong with them but now I ache a lot from the weight I miss the sensation I used to have and forever I will have scars. I have had some hair loss as well. I know how bad you must want them, We were all there once ourselves. Every woman wants to be sexy unfortunately our society thinks sexy is big boobs but that is simply not true. > > > > Hello ladies, > > I am currently considering saline implants, but was researching > for > > pros and cons and found this group. Guest guest
Ginger, it definitely takes time to filter all the toxins out. Tonight I went to my sister's to get my blood pressure checked again. I always had low blood pressure, and about 4 months into having the implants it suddenly shot up and I couldn't get it down. On the day of my surgery, it was 140/98. About 3 weeks after, it was 130/74. Today it's 110/70 (which is what it normally was). That alone is a huge relief to me, because I was quite concerned about that. I also haven't run a fever, and for a month prior to surgery I was running a low grade fever, each day it would peak around dinner time. I didn't get my medical records from the implanting surgeon, I didn't realize at the time that I could do that. I know the explanting doctor said she had a tough time getting them out, I think they were just too big for my small body. I wanted a B and ended up with a C, but now I'm right where I should have stayed and am happy to be once again - an A. I think we should view our bust sizes in the same way we view school grades, an A means you're at the top of the class!!! Guest guest
Sis, You are so right about breast size and grades. I teach aerobics, and just about every instructor there has had implants. Many people look less healthy after their surgery. I can't describe exactly how, but they do. Many of us have gained weight, too. Mine came out of nowhere. I was running up to 9 miles daily and teaching classes and still gained. I attributed it to aging, but who knows? I am glad your blood pressure is down. Sounds like you are feeling better. Mine has been ok. I am picking up my records from my ps here today. That should be interesting to look at them! Guest guest
Ginger, I noticed my coloring looked funny after having implants put in - I took on a bit of a pallor, like the living dead. At times my fingers would look blue, and the veins would bulge. I am feeling better, I'm feeling more energetic. Still am not 100% better but I'm at least on my way. The swelling joints are probably going to take longer to go away than everything else, but the numbness is gone, headaches seem to be decreasing. My feet still feel strange at times, like a dull ache, but the last few days I've noticed improvement.
