Guest guest
I tried to find the answer to this on the archives but couldn't find a specific answer so forgive me if this is repetitive: 1) For those of you doing PPM, do you opt to do it and not charge for it since CLIA requires you pay extra and submit more paperwork for this option? 2) For those of you who are PPM certified for CLIA- do you feel like it's worth it? did you have to submit both your transcripts and your diplomas or just your diplomas? Thanks in advance for your help,
Guest guest
Not sure how writing a check for adding PPM (which I just did) makes me anymore qualified. The whole system of paying for certification to perform exams that are CLIA waived is a sham. The one person who came to my office to inspect was more interested in getting out of town than she was in reviewing our lab. I wasn't even convinced she knew what she was there to inspect.Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerrySender: Date: Tue, 29 Jun 2010 23:49:12 -0700 (PDT)To: < >ReplyTo: Subject: Re: CLIA question :My read on the CLIA rules is that unless you are certified for the lab procedure, you are NOT allowed to do it, EVEN if you do not charge for it. It is about safeguarding the quality of the procedure/results. At some point in the last year, I posted the actual CLIA language on this point.
