Here is the letter that they sent me regarding the ingredients in

their make up! It is nice to know that other women also like to wear

make up sometimes and that not all of us are born with perfectly even

skin tone!

Hugs

Thank you for contacting Bare Escentuals.

The BareMinerals Foundation contains:

Titanium Dioxide-(found in sunscreen.) A non-chemical SPF contributor.

Titanium Dioxide is one of the 21 FDA-approved sunscreen chemicals. When

applied, Titanium Dioxide remains on the skin's surface, basically

scattering UV light. Titanium dioxide is used to boost the product's SPF

value.

Zinc Oxide-Used to protect, soothe, and heal the skin. Zinc Oxide

provides an excellent barrier to the sun and other irritants. It is

somewhat astringent, antiseptic, and anti-bacterial (helps in healing

acne).

Mica-Provides the reflective glow in the makeup-helps the product

liquefy as it is buffed in the skin. Mica is the group name for a series

of silicate minerals that are ground.

Bismuth Oxychloride- An organic color additive. This ingredient creates

the color and adds a pearl-like glow to the powder foundation.

compares our makeup to a strand of pearls.

Iron Oxides- Also used to add color to cosmetics. Iron Oxide can vary in

color from red to brown, black to orange or yellow, depending on the

purity and amount of water added.

All of our minerals are gluten-free as well as the lipsticks and lip

glosses.
