Guest guest
Hi Limin,I would like to suggest they look at Masgutova Method. It is invaluable for neurological conditions. The only thing is that good practitioners are in very short supply. maybe there is one in their area. If so, I highly recommend an evaluation of the primitive reflexes and treatment to follow. That said, of course, we all know on this list that it is important they work on the underlying cause which is what you are helping them with.PS thanks for the "tip of the day" section. I am learning alot, and applying the ideas for my son.I'll be in touch with questions about the essential oils. ThanksTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Sent: Wed, November 25, 2009 5:21:11 AMSubject: Infantile spasm Hi Listmates, I am helping a family with a 15-month-old little girl diagnosed with infantile spasm. This precious little girl is blind. Her family has tried numerous medications in the past 6 months. None of the drugs work to control, stop her spasms. The family also has tried the ketogenic diet without success. I want to encourage the family to look into infections (viral, parasitic), neurotransmitter imbalance, metabolic disorders, and mineral deficiency (or KPU condition) as possible causes. Also I have found the following essential oils might be helpful in reducing seizures. However, I want to ask the group's inputs on supplements and/or therapies that you know might be helpful to her. Thanks much. Things I think will help the little girl: - hydrate her with electrolyte water containing calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium throughout the day. - supplement her with vitamin E, Evening Primrose Oil, Coconut Oil, and vitamin B-12. - Massage with Clary Sage, Sandalwood, incense, Valerian, and Peace and Calming on back of neck and brain Vita Flex points on bottom of feet, or apply these oils with Babinski Reflex techniques. Also, AromaSeiz massage oil can be used to relaxes tight muscles, spasms, and muscle seizures. Hope the group can share other helpful things this family can consider. Thanks much. Limin www.healthbylimin. com Young Living Distributor ID: 1111136 Tip of the day: GLF is a blend of grapefruit peel oil, helichrysum, celery oil, ledum oil, hyssopus leaf oil, and spearmint leaf oil. It can be diluted with vegetable oil to apply over liver to gently detox liver and support gallbladders. When dilute 1 drop of GLF in 4 drops of vegetable oil to take before each meal, it helps with fat digestion and absorption. Looking for the perfect gift? Give the gift of Flickr! Guest guest
Limin These ideas sure seem well thought out....I would only add that it might be a good idea to add them one at a time and possibly you could suggest a logical order. I am wondering if we can use the pe1 or other photon device with these oils especially if they are being applied over a specific organ? The GLF sounds interesting.as I could use help in both those areas...liver/gallbladder and fat absorption at meals..of course they are connected aren't they? I may just have to try it. I am chronically dry and don't know if this is more a symptom of KPU which I tested positive for and makes you deficient in Omega 6s ...this could be the case or a combination of both. I recently ART tested as being stressed in Liver/gallbladder as my biggest stressor. Thanks Limin...you are " the best woman for the job!!!!!!! Guest guest
B6 is also important. I read somewhere (the McCarthy book??) a DAN practitioner linked seizures with constipation, and addressing the gut helped the brain. I strongly encourage the neurotransmitter tests as well. I'm finding a generous dose of GABA to be helpful. From what I read, the ketogenic diet helps about 30% of the kids who try. I was looking at it for my son, but think we may try some other things first. I'm curious about the essential oils. Could you email me off list with details? Medication is helping (Hallelujah! Last night he lost his temper but just stood in one place and yelled, no throwing or hitting!), but we want to keep the dose as low as we can. Guest guest
Oh Jill I am so happy to hear you are seeing some improvement with medication....hang on to every ray of hope! If you don't mind I just gobble up everything Limin is researching on these oils (I just signed up under her) and would so love for her to reply to you publically to the group. Limin Do you think magnesium gel or oil could be rotated in?Is there an essential oil which is rich in Magnesium? We could all use that.... Hugs, B6 is also important. Guest guest
Limin, Off the top of my head, some additional suggestions that are supposed to help with infantile seizures: - Omega-3s - Manganese - Thiamine - Taurine I have met a few parents who told me that their child's seizures stopped happening after being on Dr Aguilar's (neurologist in Mexico) FGF drops. Also, there are some genetic/metabolic disorders that can lead to infantile seizures, so hopefully the family has been able to rule those out with the help of their doctor. Guest guest
I've heard other people say that seizures can be caused by gluten and or casein. Soy might be something to look at too.
