I was so impressed with the family and Savannah's project on organ donor awareness. If you have a moment, please vote. Savannah Simon is a National Finalist in Ford Motor Company's Heart Behind the Oval Scholarship Contest. She was selected as a top ten finalist out of 1700 essay entries that involved doing something that makes a difference in your community. Savannah organized an organ donation awareness event for teens in her community centered around her 16th birthday. (If you don't know why she did this it is because her dad has received three life-saving organ transplants.) Savannah recently attended the UNOS Transplant Management Forum to present her abstract project. Ford selected 10 semi-finalists and provided them with a FLIP camera to make a video about their community project. The videos have been posted online and require you to select her video and click the vote button. The video that receives the most public votes will win. First place is a $3,000 Scholarship, Second is a $2,000 Scholarship and third is a $1,000 Scholarship. I have provided the link to the voting page you just click the button next to her name and scroll down to click the VOTE button. It is that easy. The voting only goes through this Friday, May 14!
