There is one study that has found that grapefruit juice helps absorption of

artemisinin significantly. Usually after 4, 5 days of taking artemisinin,

decreasing absorption occurs. Grapefruit juice inhibits specific liver

enzymes and helps the body to continue with uptake of artemisinin.

However, it is also known that taking artemisinin together with antioxidants

reduces its effectiveness. Grapefruit juice does contain antioxidants and

may slow down the free radical action (peroxide) of artemisinin in infected

cells.

Curcumin is said to bring artemisinin to go across the BBB (mentioned in Dr.

JS's Babesia book). Black pepper ( piperine or Piper nigrum) is said to

help absorption of curcumin. Dr. K's version of artemisinin cocktail

contains all these plus neem + propolis + Quintessence tincture + Matrix

Microbes + Phospholipids Exchange + biofilm enzymes to blend up in

grapefruit juice. OSR and MicroSilica are optional.

We have not implemented the full-blown version of artemisinin cocktail yet.

My son was initially on Interfase + Boluoke + Artemisinin (Holley Pharmacy)

+ Enhansa + NeemStat (PRL) + Inner Defense (Young Living) + Quintessence

(Biopure); on the 4th day he broke out skin rashes around one of his old

tick bite areas. He was irritable and tired. I let him took a supplement

break and went for Healing the Brain conference. After the conference I

re-started this combo of supplements, on the 10th day he broke up skin

rashes again. This time it started around his belly button and expanded to

cover over the entire liver area. There was also rashes along two sides of

the spinal cord on his lower back. I again paused the cocktail, switched to

Nutramedix Quina (containing small amount of quinine, which has the similar

action of artemisinin in infected cells) and Trace Minerals Relax (for

calming the nerve system and hydrating the cells). I gave him Liverlife and

Red Root tincture twice a day to cleanse his blood and support liver. I

also used peppermint essential oil to massage him for the past few nights to

reduce stress, increase blood circulation, and help with indigestion and

constipation.

Today I just re-introduced the artemisinin combo for the 3rd round, after a

3-day break. From now on I think I will just do 4 days on and 3 days off.

For those who use artemisinin, do you take breaks and how the pulsing

schedule looks like? Thank you.
