Guest guest
Star, I have chest pain alot....it is the fibro..I have a healty heart..other than the micro valve deal from ruematic fever...my skg's are all good. in SC Chest Pain Hi, I have a question about the chest pain. Does anybody here have a diagnosis of asthma or emphysema or any kind of lung problem? My cousin had lung problems but she had Lupus. I used to have chest pains so badly, I thought I was having a heart attack too. However, I never associated it with FMS until this got me to thinking about it. Thanks, Star Attitude is everything-so pick a good one!

I am still trying to piece all this together. I have normal EKGs, but I don't know about the MVP. This is such a complex thing. Have you ever done the brown bag breathing? But I was reading that some people do get chest pains with FM, but I am not sure whether it is pain from twitchy lungs like asthma, or whether it is some other sort of chest pain. My chest pain is definitely in the lungs and feels like a burning. It is a different type of pain than what I get in my arms, legs, and shoulders and back. But that is just me. I think that is what you are talking about. in SC Hi : I can be doing nothing and they come out of nowhere almost like a weight right in the center above the breasts. I do have asthma though. I don't know if I have something new or a new variance on the Fibro. Also, it does not come with the other symptoms of panic attacks. I used to have panic attacks and it doesn't feel like that at all. That was more of a racing, pulse increasing, fear sensation. Thanks for your help, Star
Guest guest
Hi all, A word on chest pain as it applies to emphysema and/or lung cancer. Elwyn was dx'd with lung cancer in 1997 and has severe emphysema. Neither condtion, however, ever caused him any pain. In fact, the lung cancer was accidentally removed during surgery for a collapsed lung (which DOES hurt). Lung cancer is a silent killer, having little or no symptoms until it has already spread outside the lungs. And it is these metatases that causes the pain, not the lung tumor itself. And the main symptom of emphysema is shortness of breath. Just my own experiences (or rather Elwyn's) from these diseases. hugs and prayers, Sharon - Memphis, TN Faith...with it, miracles *CAN* and *DO* happen! Guest guest
Hi, I have had chest pain as well. Sometimes with the arm pain. I also find this is in relationship to stress and how I am feeling at the time. This past few days have been bad. The weather cant make it's mind up from day to day, and I am aching everywhere. I also have a problem staying awake. I have a call in to my RA's office and hopefully they will call soon. Sherry B > Hi, > > I have a question about the chest pain.
